💥 STRIKES ON IRAN’S MILITARY INDUSTRY: IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says that "within a few days" the military will complete targeting all of the "critical" assets of Iran's military production industries. "This means we will destroy most of the military production capabilities, and it will take the regime a long time to restore them," he says.
The IDF assesses it will complete targeting nearly all of Iran’s key military industry sites in the coming days. It says the Israeli Air Force has already struck thousands of military industry assets, representing around 70% of the sector, and is nearing 90% of the key sites used to develop weapons that threaten Israel.
Iran’s defense industry includes numerous military bodies and private companies producing ballistic missiles, air defenses, naval weapons, cyber capabilities, and spy satellites.
💥 HEAVY STRIKES ACROSS TEHRAN AND OTHER STRATEGIC SITES: So far today, an oil reservoirs of the IRGC in Tehran were attacked, with reports of a massive explosion in Parchin and heavy attacks near Mehrabad Airport. Smoke was seen rising from the Parchin military complex east of Tehran, described as a major missile production hub and suspected nuclear weapons research site.
Reports also described large-scale US/Israeli strikes across Tehran, including targets linked to IRGC Aerospace Command, IRGC Aerospace buildings, IRGC barracks, and other structures.
The Israeli Air Force also struck the headquarters of Iran's Marine Industries Organization, which the military says is responsible for the research, development, and production of a wide range of naval weaponry, including surface and sub-surface vessels, manned and unmanned equipment, as well as engines and weapons.
The IDF says the strike, carried out following intelligence from the Naval Intelligence Division, deepens the damage to Iran’s naval capabilities and particularly affects its ability to produce advanced maritime weapons. It also says additional sites used to develop weapons and air defense systems were struck in the same wave.
💥 STRIKES ON STEEL PLANTS: The IDF attack on steel plants in Iran was described as significant because of their role in producing missiles and weapons. According to the defense establishment, the factories are part of the value chain of Iran’s military industry and are partially owned by the Revolutionary Guards.
The strikes were said to have caused extremely heavy damage and effectively paralyzed Iran’s steel industry, with expected losses of many billions to the Iranian economy. Iran has acknowledged severe economic damage following the destruction of the steel plants.
❌ HOUTHI MISSILES AND UAV INTERCEPTED: A cruise missile launched by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen at Israel this morning was successfully intercepted, according to the IDF. The launch came several hours after a ballistic missile fired at southern Israel was also downed.
The military says the Houthis launched two missiles and one UAV toward Israel today, and all were successfully intercepted.
