❗️ Reservist hospitalized in serious condition: An Israeli reservist soldier in his 30s was seriously wounded in a car-ramming attack at the Maccabim checkpoint in Judea and Samaria, according to military, police and medical reports.
Magen David Adom said its medics treated the unconscious man at the scene. Medical officials said he was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem in serious condition. Earlier preliminary reporting described his condition as critical.
Police clarified that the wounded man was a reservist soldier, correcting an initial report identifying him as a police officer.
❌ Troops eliminate the attacker: Police said the assailant accelerated toward a police cruiser stationed at the checkpoint, running over the soldier, who was operating alongside a police officer. IDF troops stationed in the area opened fire and eliminated the terrorist.
The IDF placed the attack in the Binyamin Brigade’s area of responsibility. Reports identified the location as Maccabim Junction or checkpoint but differed on the road number: Magen David Adom’s account cited Route 443, while the police account cited Route 433.
🚧 Roadblocks established around the scene: The IDF dispatched numerous soldiers to the area following the attack. Troops established roadblocks and continued operating nearby. Footage from the scene showed IDF soldiers conducting operations.
