🏥 IDF Responds to State Comptroller's October 7 Findings: The IDF acknowledged its failure to prevent the October 7 attack on the western Negev while reaffirming that treating and evacuating wounded soldiers remains one of its highest responsibilities.
The military said medical personnel operated under unprecedented combat conditions while simultaneously fighting terrorists and rescuing civilians. It highlighted operational improvements implemented since then, including integrating Magen David Adom's command-and-control systems into IDF medical operations and supporting greater medical information sharing to improve rehabilitation and continuity of care for wounded soldiers.
🎯 Senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad Commanders Eliminated: The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the elimination of several senior terrorist operatives in Gaza.
Among them was Mohammad Fathi Abd al-Hay Abu Fakher, commander of Hamas' Yibna Battalion, who had been rebuilding the battalion, recruiting terrorists, and overseeing training. A longtime senior figure in Hamas' weapons smuggling network, he played a central role in sustaining the organization's military capabilities.
The IDF also eliminated Ali Qaid Mohammed Stitan, an Islamic Jihad Nukhba platoon commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and continued planning attacks during the war. In a separate strike, Talal Jaber Mohammad Abd al-Aal, an Islamic Jihad commander who participated in the October 7 attack and in holding Israeli hostages in southern Gaza, was also eliminated.
⚔️ Operations Continue Against Hamas Infrastructure: Over the past week, IDF strikes in northern Gaza eliminated four additional Hamas military operatives, including anti-tank operatives, a platoon commander, and a sniper.
The military also destroyed launch shafts and launchers used by Hamas in planned attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
🚧 Hezbollah Operative Eliminated in Southern Lebanon
The IDF struck and eliminated a Hezbollah operative near El Manzala in southern Lebanon after identifying activity it assessed posed a threat to Israeli forces operating adjacent to the Security Zone.
The strike reflects Israel's continued policy of acting against immediate threats to its forces along the northern front.
