🎯 IDF Dismantles Hamas Weapons Facilities in Central Gaza
Overnight, IDF forces operated in the central Gaza Strip and dismantled three Hamas weapons storage facilities located in the Yellow Line area. The sites contained launchers, mortar shells, RPGs, explosive devices, firearms, and additional military equipment intended for use against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The military stated that the facilities were dismantled in order to remove operational threats posed to forces operating in the area and to communities inside Israel.
🚔 Joint Security Operation Foils Major Weapons Smuggling Attempt
A coordinated operation involving the IDF, Israel Border Police, and Israel Police thwarted an attempt to smuggle dozens of weapons into Israeli territory through the Jordan Valley area.
Security forces said indications of preparations for a smuggling operation had been identified in recent days, leading to ambush deployments and extensive searches along the eastern border sector.
During the operation, forces seized 23 Glock pistols, three Kalashnikov rifles, one M16 rifle, and additional weapons. A suspect in his twenties from Bethlehem was apprehended and transferred, together with the seized weapons, to the Judea and Samaria District Police for further investigation.
Security officials stated that operations against weapons smuggling networks continue as part of broader efforts to prevent arms from reaching terrorist and criminal elements operating in the region.
🏗️ IDF Establishes Permanent Base in Jenin
The IDF is establishing a permanent military base in the city of Jenin in Judea and Samaria.
According to the announcement, this marks the first permanent Israeli military base established inside Jenin since the signing of the Oslo Accords.
