⚔️ Gaza: Senior Hamas commanders eliminated: The IDF announced that Friday's strike in the central Gaza Strip eliminated Mansour Sami Mahmoud Shahtout, Commander of Hamas' Naval Police in the Central Camps, along with two additional Hamas Naval Police commanders.
According to the IDF, Hamas' Naval Police operates under Hamas' military wing and directs attacks against Israeli forces and the State of Israel. The three commanders were traveling in an armed vehicle and were assessed to pose an immediate threat to IDF troops.
🛰️ Additional Hamas leaders linked to October 7 and military operations targeted: On Thursday, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) eliminated Walid Haniyeh, Deputy Commander of a Hamas Nukhba company and nephew of former Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh.
The IDF said he commanded an October 7 infiltration cell into Israeli territory, personally participated in the attack, directed the terrorist cell, and provided operational instructions as Israeli civilians were taken hostage into Gaza. More recently, he had also worked to recruit additional Hamas operatives and oversee Nukhba training.
The military also announced the elimination of Abd al-Rahman Maher Abd al-Karim Ziyada, a Hamas Nukhba commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 Massacre and looted an IDF military vehicle before taking it into Gaza. In a separate strike near Khan Yunis, Kamal Mohammad Hamdan Najjar, head of Hamas' Tunnel Unit in the sector, was also eliminated. According to the IDF, both had continued advancing attacks against Israeli forces and were targeted after posing immediate operational threats.
🛡️ Judea and Samaria: Suspected infiltration concludes without security incident: Sirens were activated Friday night in the Beit Aryeh area of Samaria following reports of two suspected infiltrators, prompting the deployment of IDF forces and extensive searches conducted in coordination with local communities and regional security personnel.
After completing the searches, security forces found no suspects and determined there was no evidence of a security incident. The IDF announced that the event had concluded and that no ongoing security threat remained.
