❌ IDF confirms elimination of Hezbollah’s most senior field commanders in southern Lebanon: Following intelligence research and a series of significant strikes over the past two weeks, the IDF announced the elimination of several senior Hezbollah field commanders responsible for combat operations and attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Those eliminated include:
- Commander of the Al-Khiam sector
- Assistant to the Deputy Commander of the Badr Unit
- Intelligence Officer of the Shaqif sector
- Head of Engineering in the Yohmor sector
- Deputy Head of Engineering in the Yohmor sector
- Commander of the Jibchit sector
- Head of Engineering in the Jouaiyya sector
The IDF says the commanders played central roles in managing Hezbollah operations and advancing attacks against Israel.
‼️ IDF says raids are expanding beyond the Forward Defense Line: The military confirmed that forces have recently conducted raids beyond the declared Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon.
According to an Israeli military official, the operations are intended to push Hezbollah farther from the border and strengthen protection of the security zone amid increased Hezbollah use of FPV drones against IDF troops and northern Israeli communities.
In a video statement, IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said troops are operating “in places where I, as a battalion commander, was unable to reach, and they are doing so with great success.”
❌ IDF says 2,500 Hezbollah terrorists eliminated since Operation Roaring Lion began: The military says approximately 2,500 Hezbollah operatives have been eliminated since the start of Operation Roaring Lion.
According to the IDF, around 800 of those eliminations occurred after the ceasefire understandings took effect on April 16.
The military further stated that approximately 8,000 Hezbollah operatives have been eliminated by Israel throughout the broader multi-front war in recent years.
Brig. Gen. Defrin said Hezbollah currently has around 30,000 operatives and stated that Israel has eliminated “nearly a third” of the organization’s force.
He added that recent strikes against sector commanders and operational officials caused “significant blows to Hezbollah’s command-and-control capabilities.”
📉 IDF says Hezbollah is fighting for survival: “Hezbollah is battered and wounded and is fighting a war of survival for its continued existence. That is the reality on the ground,” Defrin said.
He added that the IDF Chief of Staff instructed the military to intensify strikes and deepen operations against Hezbollah.
According to Defrin, troops continue dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure in what he described as a “consistent and systematic operation.”
⚠️ IDF says drone threat response efforts are ongoing: Defrin said the military is continuously developing responses to Hezbollah drone threats.
“We are constantly formulating responses to the drone threat. The best minds in the IDF and outside the IDF are working tirelessly,” he said.
He stated that the effort focuses on:
- Detection and early warning
- Improved interception capabilities
- Protection for ground troops
“As the IDF Chief of Staff said yesterday, there are no limits on the use of strength and resources when it comes to the security of our troops and our civilians,” Defrin added.

“We will continue operating everywhere in order to ensure the security of the civilians and soldiers of the State of Israel. This is our duty,” he said.
