❌ WIDESPREAD STRIKES AND GROUND OPERATIONS IN LEBANON: The IDF struck more than 140 Hezbollah infrastructure targets across Lebanon over the weekend, including a training site, weapons storage facilities, launch sites, Radwan Force headquarters, and additional infrastructure in Beirut and elsewhere in the country. Ground operations continued in southern Lebanon, where troops located large quantities of weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs, grenades, firearms, vests, and magazines, and eliminated more than 35 Hezbollah terrorists over the past week in airstrikes and close combat.
Troops of the 146th Division eliminated additional Hezbollah operatives in close-quarters engagements, including armed RPG units, and uncovered weapons and underground tunnel shafts. The 36th Division continued expanding operational activity against Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure. Artillery units of the 282nd Brigade fired more than 400 shells toward Hezbollah targets over the past day, and the 215th Fire Brigade struck a headquarters used for launching UAVs toward IDF forces and Israel.
❌ STRIKES ON QUDS FORCE AND PIJ COMMAND STRUCTURES IN LEBANON: The IDF completed an additional wave of strikes targeting command centers belonging to the Quds Force Lebanon Corps in Beirut. The Lebanon Corps serves as a liaison between Hezbollah and the Iranian terror regime and supports Hezbollah’s force buildup and military entrenchment.
The IDF also struck two headquarters of the PIJ terror organization that were used by senior officials for decision-making and coordination with Hezbollah. In parallel, the Israeli Navy struck a Hezbollah observation post.
❌ ROCKET FIRE ON NORTHERN ISRAEL AND IMMEDIATE RESPONSE: Several rockets were launched toward northern Israel earlier this evening, and no injuries were reported. A short while later, the IDF struck and dismantled the launcher in Lebanon from which the rockets had been fired.
The IDF says it will continue acting to remove threats to the residents of the State of Israel and will continue operating against the Hezbollah terrorist organization. Israel will also move Iron Dome systems closer to IDF forces in Lebanon to protect them from Hezbollah rockets, while the army is examining the use of armored vehicles packed with explosives to destroy enemy hubs, as was done in Gaza.
🕯️ FALLEN SOLDIER IN FRIENDLY FIRE INCIDENT IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Sergeant First Class Guy Ludar, 21, of the Maglan Unit in the Commando Brigade, from Yuvalim, was killed in a friendly fire incident during an arrest operation in the southern Lebanese village of Shebaa. An additional soldier was severely injured.
According to an initial IDF probe, during the arrest of a suspect allegedly aiding Hezbollah, one soldier believed he identified suspects attempting to flee and opened fire. The gunfire killed Ludar and seriously wounded the other soldier. The mission was completed, and the suspect was taken to Israel for interrogation. The military says it is continuing to investigate the circumstances.
❗️ HEZBOLLAH ROCKET HITS UNIFIL OUTPOST, INJURES THREE UN PERSONNEL: A Hezbollah rocket landed inside a UNIFIL outpost in the Al-Aadaissah area in southern Lebanon, injuring three UN personnel, two of them severely. The IDF says it identified the launch earlier today.
A review of the launch trajectory, according to the IDF, clearly indicates that the fire was carried out by Hezbollah. The IDF says Hezbollah continues to operate in a manner that endangers international forces and harms UN personnel operating in the area.
