💥 Earlier this week, the IDF struck the main headquarters of Hamas’ Naval Police in the Khan Yunis area. The facility was used to advance and execute attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Several terrorists operating from the site were eliminated, including Ismail al-Lahham, a cell commander in Hamas’ military wing.
The Hamas Naval Police operates alongside and under the authority of Hamas’ military wing. The targeted headquarters was being used to rebuild and restore Hamas military capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement, while exploiting facilities presented as civilian in nature.
❌ During the past week, the IDF also struck and dismantled three Hamas weapons storage facilities in southern Gaza. The facilities were intended for use in attacks against IDF troops operating in the area.
Following advance warnings issued to the local population, the IDF identified Hamas military wing operatives attempting to remove weapons from the facilities using vehicles. The IDF then struck both the terrorists and the weapons.
Secondary explosions were observed following the strikes, confirming the presence of weapons inside the targeted facilities.
🎯 Yesterday, the IDF struck in southern Gaza and eliminated two Islamic Jihad terrorists who were planning imminent attacks against IDF troops.
Those eliminated included:
• Iyad Muhammad Abd al-Aziz Nofal, a Nukhba commander in the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.
• Ahmad Abd al-Hamid Hamad Ma’arouf, head of an Islamic Jihad terrorist cell who carried out rocket fire attacks against the State of Israel throughout the war.
❗️ A short while ago, an initial report was received regarding a shooting toward IDF soldiers operating in the Ramim Ridge area.
The soldiers returned fire and eliminated a terrorist. No IDF injuries were reported.
The incident remains ongoing. IDF troops are conducting searches in the area, while Israeli Air Force aircraft continue operating overhead after being dispatched to the scene.
The IDF remains in close contact with local authorities.
