💥 HAMAS INFRASTRUCTURE DESTROYED IN GAZA: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) struck and destroyed Hamas terrorist infrastructure in several areas of the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday. The targets included weapons storage facilities, a weapons-production facility and underground infrastructure.
The facilities contained Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs, mortar shells, explosive devices and additional combat equipment intended to target IDF troops operating near the Yellow Line and Israeli civilians. The weapons were destroyed to remove the threat.
Secondary explosions following the strikes indicated that weapons had been stored at the sites.
🕯️ TWO SOLDIERS FALL IN DEADLY SAMARIA ATTACK: Maj. Yuval Ezra, 27, a battery commander in the 411th Battalion of the 282nd Artillery Regiment from Herzliya, was killed during this morning’s clash near the village of Tell in Samaria.
The incident began after a group of Israelis conducted an unauthorized hike in the area. Ezra was struck by gunfire after a terrorist seized an assault rifle from a civilian security officer during the clash.
The IDF also recognized Master Sgt. (res.) Benayahu Mellet, 32, from Yitzhar, as a fallen soldier. Mellet was a commander in the Jerusalem Brigade’s 8119th Battalion and was serving in the reserves as a regional defense soldier.
May their families be comforted among the mourners of Zion. And may HaShem avenge their blood.
❌ DUVDEVAN COMMANDOS APPREHEND TWO TERRORISTS: IDF troops, guided by the Shin Bet, apprehended two terrorists who participated in the shooting attack near Tell.
The terrorists were wounded while carrying out the attack and transported to a hospital in Shechem. Duvdevan commandos raided the hospital, apprehended the two suspects and transferred them to the Shin Bet for further questioning.
“The identities of all the terrorists who participated in the attack are known, and the forces are operating to arrest them,” the IDF said.
🛰️ SHIN BET CHIEF: “THIS TIME, WE DID NOT SUCCEED”: Shin Bet chief David Zini conducted an assessment at the scene of the deadly attack.
“This morning's attack is severe and painful, and tragically claimed a heavy toll in lives. In recent months, we have foiled dozens of attacks, almost every night. This time, we did not succeed in thwarting it in advance,” Zini said.
He called on the public “not to take the law into their own hands and to place their trust in the IDF and the Shin Bet, whose mission and duty this is.”
⚔️ CENTRAL COMMAND LAUNCHES BROAD COUNTERTERRORISM OPERATION: Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth said the IDF is launching a major counterterrorism operation following the attack. Additional forces have been deployed, and troops are working to apprehend all remaining terrorists involved.
Bluth said four terrorists were eliminated during the incident, including the shooter, and the confiscated weapon was recovered by IDF forces. Additional arrests remain pending.
The operation follows several days of escalating violence, including approximately 30 homes burned, an arson attack in Beit Furik and multiple stabbing incidents. The IDF is also preparing for possible copycat attacks.
“We are launching a broad operation across the Central Command sector and will act by every means necessary to curb the escalation and restore calm,” Bluth said. “The security of the residents is our guiding principle.”
