❌ The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the elimination of Mohammed Odeh in a strike carried out Tuesday in the northern Gaza Strip.
Odeh had served over the past two weeks as head of Hamas’ military wing following the elimination of Izz al-Din al-Haddad. He also headed Hamas’ intelligence headquarters.
The IDF stated that Odeh was one of the last senior Hamas military commanders involved in planning and executing the October 7 massacre and managing combat operations against IDF troops.
According to the IDF, he was responsible for planning and coordinating Hamas terrorists’ infiltration routes and attack targets during the October 7 attack.
During the joint IDF and Shin Bet operation, terror infrastructure sites in central Gaza City used by Odeh as hideouts were struck following months of intelligence monitoring.
A nearby apartment belonging to a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and operated within Odeh’s circle was struck simultaneously.
The IDF stated that steps were taken before the strikes to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
Throughout the war, Odeh was involved in orchestrating multiple terror attacks and led Hamas intelligence gathering and analysis efforts targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The IDF stated that his elimination constitutes a significant blow to Hamas’ rehabilitation efforts.
