🔥 FIRE ERUPTS AT KHAMENEI BURIAL COMPLEX: A major fire erupted inside Mashhad’s Imam Reza Shrine complex, where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was buried. Iranian authorities said the blaze began at an asphalt workshop inside the complex, according to Iran International.
💥 U.S. STRIKES IRANIAN COMMAND, MISSILE AND COASTAL SITES: U.S. Central Command announced: “U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) ended an evening wave of strikes against Iran at 9 p.m. ET on July 15. U.S. forces struck Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten innocent mariners crewing commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM used precision munitions to hit targets in multiple locations including Bandar Abbas. Earlier this morning, American forces struck coastal defense and cruise missile sites on Greater Tunb Island during a 90-minute wave.”
Iranian outlets reported additional American strikes on Qeshm Island, Behbahan in Khuzestan Province and areas near Bandar Abbas. The Hormozgan Province Governorate said missiles struck multiple locations near Qeshm at 6:10 p.m. and areas near Bandar Abbas at 6:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.
The governor’s office reported no casualties or damage to residential or commercial infrastructure following the latest Bandar Abbas strikes, pending further official assessments.
Local eyewitnesses also reported hearing explosions in downtown Dubai, according to Reuters.
⚠️ IRAN THREATENS REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND ADDITIONAL FRONTS: Iran’s military warned that the fighting could expand if attacks against the country continue.
The IRGC declared: “If Washington carries out its threats to strike infrastructure in Iran, we will strike infrastructure in the region”.
Iranian Army Spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said: “The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as Washington does not recognize our system based on the rule of law”.
A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters issued a broader threat: “Under any circumstances and in any form, we will not allow America, as a foreign and extra-regional country, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz. This is Iran's red line, and it is non-negotiable. If the recent threats made by the U.S. President regarding targeting Iran's infrastructure by that country's aggressive military are carried out, then everything that has remained safe so far due to Iran's strength – that is, all the infrastructure in the region – will be crushed under the strikes of the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, leaving no trace, as if it had never existed in the first place. Let the ignorant enemy know that for us, the moment of confrontation is not a moment to be avoided. What the Iranian armed forces are doing is not a reciprocal strike, but a superior one. These strikes will be more severe, more extensive, and more destructive than ever before.”
