💥 IDF strikes Hezbollah sites after roadside bombing: Two IDF soldiers were lightly injured this morning when an engineering vehicle drove over a roadside bomb planted by Hezbollah in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon, the military said. They were evacuated to a hospital in good condition, and their families were notified.
In response, the IDF struck Hezbollah infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon, including observation posts and sites from which terrorists operated to prepare and carry out attacks against Israeli troops.
The IDF said its soldiers remain deployed in the Security Zone in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove threats to Israeli civilians and troops.
🎯 Hamas commander who infiltrated Israel on October 7 eliminated: The IDF announced that a Thursday airstrike in Khan Younis eliminated Muhammad Suleiman Byouk, a commander in Hamas’s military wing who infiltrated Israel during the October 7, 2023 massacre.
According to the military, Byouk planted explosive devices across Gaza to harm Israeli troops throughout the war, including recently. He also planned and advanced attacks against soldiers and Israeli civilians, worked to restore Hamas’s capabilities and prepared the organization for continued operations.
The IDF described his activities as occurring "in a systemic violation of the ceasefire," and said he was "eliminated to remove the threat."
🎗️ Eliminated Rafah commander’s role in holding hostages revealed: Following prolonged intelligence research, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) revealed that Nael Abu Obeid, the Hamas Rafah Brigade commander eliminated in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Tuesday, "was involved in the abduction and holding of IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians for years and during the war."
In 2014, Abu Obeid served as the brigade’s deputy commander and took part in holding the body of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, a Givati Brigade officer whose body was returned last year.
During the current war, Abu Obeid took part in holding several hostages, including tank soldier Sergeant First Class Nimrod Cohen, in a major underground tunnel system beneath Rafah, the military said.
The IDF and Shin Bet described his elimination as an important measure of closure and said they would continue acting forcefully against terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre.
💥 Palestinian media report deadly strike in Gaza City: Palestinian media reported that an Israeli strike on a vehicle in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood shortly before the report killed two people and injured several others.
🔹 Reported gunfire and vehicle hit near al-Mughayyir: The IDF said it received a report Friday of gunfire being heard and an Israeli civilian’s vehicle being hit near the village of al-Mughayyir, in the Binyamin Brigade’s sector in Judea and Samaria. No injuries were reported.
Security forces were dispatched to search the area and collect findings and evidence. They also established roadblocks in the village area and opened an investigation.
