🚀 Rare layered interception captured on video: Footage shows a complex Israeli air defense engagement involving at least two systems operating in sequence against a single incoming ballistic threat.
The first visible projectile is assessed to be a Stunner interceptor from David’s Sling, launched upward to engage an incoming medium-range ballistic missile warhead. The warhead appears to evade that initial interception attempt. A third projectile then enters from the right, assessed to be a Tamir interceptor from Iron Dome, and successfully intercepts the warhead at relatively low altitude.
Its flight path shows an unusual profile, beginning with a shallow climb before reversing into a shallow descent toward the target. This indicates the engagement took place near the edge of the system’s operational envelope and reflects layered coordination between Israeli air defense systems.
🚨 Hezbollah missile fire toward southern Israel: Sirens were activated in Ashkelon and several communities near the Gaza border after Hezbollah fired long-range missiles toward southern Israel.
According to the military, the projectiles struck open areas and no injuries were reported. A separate rocket impact in Kiryat Shmona caused damage but no injuries, according to rescue services. It apparently marks the first time Hezbollah has targeted the Gaza border area, some 200 kilometers from Lebanon.
🚀 Cluster munition impacts following Iranian attack: Rescue forces are responding to multiple impact scenes in southern Israel following Iran’s latest ballistic missile attack.
Suspected cluster munitions struck several communities, including a home in Neta and another community just over the Green Line, causing damage but no injuries. Palestinian media also report several casualties in Beit Awwa in Judea and Samaria after an apparent cluster munition struck the area.
💥 IDF strikes Iranian naval targets in northern Iran: Multiple explosions were reported in the Iranian port city of Bandar Anzali on the Caspian Sea as the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes in the area.
According to Israeli officials, the strikes targeted Iranian Navy vessels. The IDF later said that, for the first time during Operation Roaring Lion, the Israeli Air Force began striking targets in northern Iran based on Air Force, Navy, and IDF intelligence.
