🎯 IDF ELIMINATES HAMAS SUPPLY COMMANDER IN GAZA CITY: The IDF said it struck the Sabra area of Gaza City and eliminated Omar Mohammed Roshdy Saraj, a commander in Hamas’s Gaza City supply and maintenance company.
“As part of his role, the terrorist managed the supply of weapons to Hamas terrorists in Gaza City,” the IDF said. Another Hamas military-wing operative was also struck in the same attack.
According to the IDF, both terrorists had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and worked to rehabilitate Hamas capabilities, “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.” The military said they were struck to remove the threat they posed. Gazan media reported earlier that Israeli strikes in Gaza City during the day killed five people.
🛡️ ISRAEL AND GREECE SIGN €3 BILLION “ACHILLES SHIELD” DEFENSE DEAL: Israel and Greece signed the largest defense agreement in their bilateral history, worth approximately €3 billion, more than NIS 10 billion, under which Israel will build Greece a comprehensive multi-layered air-defense network.
The program will integrate Rafael’s David’s Sling and SPYDER systems, IAI’s BARAK MX, ELTA MMR radars and a new national command-and-control system led by Rafael, providing defense against ballistic missiles, aerial attacks, hostile UAVs and other threats.
Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram and Greek procurement chief Ioannis Bouras signed the agreement at the Israeli Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv. The ministry described it as “the largest defense export deal in the history of Israel-Greece relations, and one of the largest in the history of the State of Israel,” and said it marks the first time Israel will provide another country with a complete integrated defense architecture against such a broad range of threats.
According to additional reporting, full operational capability is targeted within 35 months, with more than 25% Greek industrial participation and access to source code. A separate €26 million agreement was also signed for Rafael’s DRONE DOME counter-UAV systems to protect strategic sites.
The broader agreement includes expanded Israeli-Greek defense-industrial cooperation and technology transfer to Greek industry. The Defense Ministry said Greece’s selection of Israeli technology as the backbone of its major air-defense buildup reflects the depth of trust between the countries and further strengthens their strategic security partnership in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Netanyahu said: “The security agreement with Greece reflects Israel’s strength and the strengthening of regional alliances.”
