❌ SMUGGLING ATTEMPT FOILED AT LACHISH CROSSING: Israeli security authorities intercepted thousands of cigarettes concealed inside hundreds of pineapples during a security inspection at the Lachish Crossing.
The shipment had been purchased by an Israeli company authorized to deliver humanitarian aid through the private-sector aid mechanism and was destined for the Kerem Shalom Crossing. The truck and its entire cargo were confiscated and transferred to Customs for investigation.
In response, COGAT chief Maj. Gen. Yoram Halevi immediately suspended the company's authorization to deliver humanitarian aid into Gaza pending further notice. COGAT said it, together with the Ministry of Defense's Land Crossings Authority, Customs, and other security agencies, will continue enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against smuggling attempts and any abuse of the humanitarian aid mechanism.
🎯 IDF ELIMINATES OCTOBER 7 NUKHBA COMMANDER: The IDF announced the elimination of Mohammed Emad Alrahman Abu Taima, a Nukhba cell commander in Hamas' military wing, in a precise airstrike in southern Gaza yesterday.
According to the IDF, Abu Taima infiltrated Kibbutz Nirim during the October 7 massacre. Throughout the war he commanded a Nukhba cell responsible for ambushes against IDF troops, maintained the operational readiness of Hamas terrorists, attempted to recruit additional terrorists, and posed an immediate threat to IDF forces operating in the area.
⚠️ GUNFIRE INVESTIGATED IN KIRYAT ARBA: Overnight, IDF forces were dispatched to the Kiryat Arba and Hebron area following reports of gunfire.
A bullet that struck a home in Kiryat Arba was located. IDF forces continue operational and intelligence efforts in Hebron to identify the source of the gunfire, locate the suspects, and eliminate the threat.
🔸 GERMAN FM ON LEBANON, JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND GAZA: During a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said: "Hezbollah is the source of the problems in Lebanon. The settlements are a threat to peace. More humanitarian aid must be urgently brought into Gaza."
🔸 LEBANON REPORTS DISPUTE OVER TALKS WITH ISRAEL: A Lebanese diplomatic source told Al Jazeera: "Washington has presented us with a preliminary idea to move the negotiations with Israel to Rome. Israel adopted the transfer of negotiations to Rome to free itself from American pressure. We reject holding the sixth round of negotiations in Rome."
The same source also claimed: "Israel has threatened to file lawsuits before the US judiciary accusing Lebanon of harboring terrorist organizations."
