❌ ELIMINATIONS AND WEAPONS SEIZURES IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Reserve troops from the 769th Brigade, under the 91st Division, are conducting targeted ground operations to strengthen the forward defensive area in southern Lebanon.
During one operation, surveillance troops from Unit 869 identified several armed terrorists entering a structure and directed an Israeli Air Force strike, eliminating them. Overnight, IDF soldiers also identified Hezbollah terrorists attempting to plant explosive devices and launch mortar shells toward the troops, and eliminated them in a rapid targeting cycle.
No IDF injuries were reported. Soldiers also located a weapons depot containing dozens of anti-tank missiles, grenades, and explosives intended to target IDF forces.
⚠️ MISGAV AM INCIDENT INQUIRY AND NEW SAFETY DIRECTIVES: The IDF has concluded its inquiry into the March 22, 2026 artillery incident in which five shells fired from Israeli territory struck Kibbutz Misgav Am and killed civilian Ofer (Poshko) Moskovitz.
The findings were presented to the family. The investigation determined that the fire occurred during an active operational scenario providing close support to maneuvering forces, and that the error resulted from a combination of non-optimal firing conditions, terrain challenges, and inaccuracies in topographical calculations.
The IDF stated that no negligence or ethical failure was found among personnel involved in the firing process. Following the findings, the Commander of the Ground Forces ordered stricter operational directives governing artillery fire near civilian areas beyond the existing guidelines.
Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir accepted the conclusions and stressed the immediate implementation of lessons learned, particularly regarding safety protocols and the positioning of artillery units near populated communities. Zamir described the incident as “difficult and regrettable.”
The IDF stated that all safety components will be reexamined and that the conclusions will be implemented across units. The military also expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the Moskovitz family and the Misgav Am community.
