🛡️ Home Front restrictions nationwide
The Home Front Command has announced updated civilian guidelines in effect from Thursday, March 26 at 20:00 through Saturday, March 28 at 20:00, with restrictions varying by region.
In most areas, including parts of the Golan South, Lower Galilee, Beit Shean Valley, Carmel, Wadi Ara, Menashe, Shomron, Judea, Gaza Envelope, and Arava, educational activities are permitted only in locations where a standard protected space can be reached in time. Gatherings are limited to up to 50 people outdoors and 100 people indoors under the same shelter-access requirement. Workplaces may operate only if adequate access to protected spaces is available. Beaches are closed to the public.
In higher-risk areas, including the confrontation line, Golan North, Upper and Center Galilee, Haifa region, the central districts, Jerusalem, Shfela, the Dead Sea area, and much of the Negev and Eilat, educational activities are prohibited. Gatherings are limited to up to 50 people, and workplaces may operate only where protected spaces are accessible within the required timeframes. Beaches remain closed.
Residents are instructed to follow local guidance based on their specific area, as restrictions differ by region depending on threat levels.
🪖 IDF adds a third division to the southern Lebanon maneuver: The IDF is adding Division 162 to the ground maneuver in southern Lebanon, joining Divisions 91 and 36.
Division 162 includes, among others, the Givati and Nahal brigades, and is joining the operation after two years of fighting in the Gaza Strip. The IDF said the goal is “to expand the security zone and create an additional layer of protection for the residents of the north.”
🕯️ Fallen IDF soldier in southern Lebanon: It has been cleared for publication that Sergeant Aviaad Elchanan Volansky, 21, from Jerusalem, a fighter in the 77th Battalion, “Sa’ar MeGolan” (7th) Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.
He was killed by an anti-tank missile that was fired at a tank belonging to Golani’s brigade combat team. Four IDF soldiers were lightly injured in the attack: two officers and two fighters from Battalion 77.
Aviaad was named after his uncle, who was murdered in the 2002 terrorist attack in Eli. He was also the cousin of Elhanan Klein, who was murdered at the beginning of the war.
🕯️ Civilian killed in Nahariya attack identified: Cleared for publication: Uri Peretz is the man who was killed today in Nahariya by Hezbollah gunfire.
🕯️ INVESTIGATION FINDINGS AND CONFESSION: A joint investigation by the IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Israel Police has found it increasingly likely that the incident near Beit Imrin was a deliberate vehicle ramming attack rather than a traffic accident. As evidence accumulated indicating intentional action, the case was transferred to the Shin Bet and the Central Unit of the Judea and Samaria District.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to the offenses attributed to him. The investigation remains ongoing.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon, when a Palestinian vehicle struck an Israeli vehicle near the Homesh area. IDF and police forces were dispatched to the scene, where two Israelis were evacuated.
One of the victims, Yehuda Shmuel Sherman, was later pronounced dead. Initial investigative efforts were conducted by Ariel station police, along with forensic and traffic investigators, in coordination with IDF and Shin Bet personnel.
The IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Police extended condolences to the victim’s family.
