๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ GAZA OPERATIONS, IDF FORCE BUILDUP, AND NATIONAL RESILIENCE

๐ŸŽฏ GAZA OPERATIONS: The IDF announced the elimination of four terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre and continued terrorist activity during the war.

Among those killed were Hamas sniper cell commander Ahmad Abu Hin and Hamas operative Mahmoud Walid Jabr Abu Hin, both of whom infiltrated Israel on October 7 and were involved in efforts to rebuild Hamas capabilities while advancing attacks against Israeli forces.

Over the weekend, the IDF eliminated Hamas platoon commander Muhammad Saโ€™id Ahmad Nimrouti, who participated in the October 7 attack and in holding hostages inside Hamas tunnels. In a separate strike, Islamic Jihad platoon commander Muโ€™awiya Suleiman Saqr Ayadi, who infiltrated Kibbutz Beโ€™eri during the massacre and later participated in attacks and explosive-device operations, was also eliminated.

The IDF stated that all four posed an immediate threat to forces operating in Gaza and were targeted in precise strikes.

๐Ÿšœ IDF FORCE BUILDUP AND PERSONNEL POLICY: Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir led a senior planning discussion on a pilot program examining the integration of women into maneuvering armored corps units. He cited growing manpower requirements across multiple operational fronts and praised the performance of women already serving in combat roles.

The pilot will be assessed according to whether participants can meet existing armored corps standards without compromise and whether the IDF can establish a sustainable operational framework capable of maintaining readiness in both routine and wartime conditions.

โš™๏ธ IMPLEMENTATION PARAMETERS: The Chief of Staff directed particular attention to injury prevention and participant health following concerns raised by previous pilot programs. The IDF stated that there are no plans to create mixed-gender tank crews.

If successful, women would serve within a separate armored framework of at least company size, operating under existing Joint Service regulations. Evaluation of the program is expected to advance ahead of the November 2026 draft cycle.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ LEADERSHIP, REMEMBRANCE, AND NATIONAL RESILIENCE: At the National Memorial Conference in Jerusalem, held as Israel approaches the 1,000th day of war, senior defense and security leaders emphasized the role of remembrance in shaping leadership and national endurance.

Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said fallen soldiers continue to influence commanders' decisions and stressed the enduring commitment of the IDF and Defense Ministry to bereaved families. Police Commissioner Danny Levy highlighted the growing burden placed on security personnel since October 7 and pledged continued support for fighters.

President Isaac Herzog called on Israelis to remain worthy of the sacrifices made by the fallen, while Defense Minister Israel Katz described remembrance as a form of national victory that carries the legacy of those lost into the future.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ HOME FRONT: Following a situational assessment, Home Front Command left defensive guidelines unchanged. Current directives are scheduled to remain in effect until June 20 at 9:00 p.m.

๐Ÿ’ฌ U.S. POSITION ON IRAN-BACKED ORGANIZATIONS: U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee proposed deporting Hezbollah and Hamas operatives to Iran, arguing that removing what he described as Iranian proxy forces from Lebanon and Israel would improve prospects for regional peace.
