🕊️ Gaza disarmament framework: President Trump announced that the Board of Peace had reached an agreement requiring the complete disarmament of Hamas and other terrorist organizations and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip. Israel would withdraw only after those conditions are fulfilled.
Trump described the agreement as “a major step toward peace” and said the IDF would withdraw once disarmament was completed. A senior U.S. official said implementation would begin within weeks following months of sensitive negotiations.
The framework was designed around verified, reciprocal steps because Hamas and Israel did not trust one another. Hamas and the Palestinian factions agreed to transfer responsibility for security and civil services to a technocratic government, which would ultimately hold a monopoly over weapons in Gaza. Hamas would relinquish all civilian and security involvement in governing the territory.
Israel opposed the inclusion of Turkey and Qatar on the Peace Council’s executive board, although the U.S. official said both countries, together with Egypt, had helped advance the negotiations.
🧨 Hezbollah tunnel network demolished: The IDF released footage showing the destruction of the main routes within a tunnel complex beneath Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon. The underground network served as a massive Hezbollah terrorist headquarters in the area.
The Lebanese Seismological Center recorded a magnitude 3.8 earthquake resulting from the IDF explosion used to destroy the tunnels.
⚓ IRGC claims attacks on oil tankers: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said it attacked and stopped two tankers that allegedly ignored warnings and attempted to travel through an undeclared route while under U.S. air escort. Four additional vessels reportedly returned to their original course.
The IRGC urged shipping and insurance companies to disregard announcements from U.S. Central Command and warned that U.S. military interventions or orders in the region would not go unanswered.
