🎯 IDF ELIMINATES HAMAS NUKHBA COMMANDER INVOLVED IN OCTOBER 7 MASSACRE, ISLAMIC JIHAD NORTHERN GAZA BRIGADE COMMANDER, AND HAMAS CELL HEAD RESPONSIBLE FOR MURDER OF IDF OBSERVER AMID CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS

🎯 Multiple terrorist operatives eliminated in Gaza operations following ceasefire violations: IDF troops operating in southern Gaza identified a terrorist who approached the Yellow Line and moved toward the forces, posing an imminent threat. Guided by ground troops, the IDF eliminated the terrorist to remove the danger.

The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said Israeli forces carried out a targeted strike in southern Gaza eliminating Hamas terrorist Bilal Abu Assi, a Nukhba platoon commander who led the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre. The operation followed what the IDF described as a blatant overnight ceasefire violation in northern Gaza, during which terrorists opened fire on IDF troops and severely wounded a reserve officer.

According to the joint statement, Abu Assi played a central role in the October 7 attack that resulted in the murder and abduction of dozens of civilians. The IDF assesses he likely participated in holding deceased hostages during the war and continued directing attacks against Israeli forces throughout the conflict.

The IDF acknowledged reports that uninvolved civilians, including a medical staff member, may have been harmed in the strike. The military said it used surveillance and precision munitions to reduce civilian casualties and expressed regret for any unintended harm.

In a separate targeted strike, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the elimination of Ali Raziana, Commander of the Islamic Jihad Northern Gaza Brigade. They said Raziana directed terrorist deployments, oversaw the brigade’s defensive combat strategy, served on the organization’s military council, and coordinated with Hamas to advance and execute attacks against IDF forces.

The statement said that during the war Raziana oversaw the captivity of hostages held by Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza. Since the ceasefire began, he had been working to rebuild and restore the brigade’s operational capabilities.

The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) also announced the elimination of Muhammad Issam Hassan al-Habil, head of a Hamas terrorist cell, following Hamas’ overnight ceasefire violation. According to Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) interrogations, al-Habil brutally murdered IDF observer Corporal Noa Marciano while she was held hostage in Gaza after being abducted from the Nahal Oz outpost during the October 7 Hamas massacre.

The IDF said intelligence gathered by Gaza Division 143, where Marciano served, helped locate and target the terrorist. Israeli security officials said the operation represents a measure of justice for Marciano’s family and that forces will continue operating against terrorist operatives and infrastructure in Gaza in response to attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, while continuing efforts to minimize civilian harm.

❗️ IDF releases footage showing Hamas exploitation of ambulances for terrorism: During IDF activity in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza, routine drone surveillance along the Yellow Line documented armed Hamas terrorists repeatedly using ambulances to transport terrorists and weapons from a hospital to a school.

The IDF said this is further evidence of systematic exploitation of emergency systems and medical infrastructure by Hamas, including disguising operatives as civilians to advance terrorist activity. The military said it will continue to act in accordance with international law regarding medical facilities and educational institutions, despite Hamas embedding terrorist infrastructure within them.

⚠️ Defense Minister warns Hamas to disarm: Defense Minister Israel Katz said, "If Hamas does not disarm in accordance with the agreed framework, we will dismantle it and all of its capabilities".

THE IRAN–U.S. CONFRONTATION WON’T START IN IRAN — AND ISRAEL MAY FACE STRONG INCENTIVES TO MOVE FIRST

The coming confrontation between Iran and the United States is often framed as a binary moment: Washington acts or holds back; Tehran retaliates or absorbs the pressure. This framing is simple, accessible, and largely misleading. If escalation occurs, it is unlikely to unfold as a conventional state-to-state conflict, and it is unlikely to begin where many observers expect. Instead, escalation would most likely emerge as a system-level event—an activation of Iran’s regional proxy architecture—designed to distribute risk, externalize damage, and preserve regime survival. Within that system, Israel is not a peripheral actor but a forward pressure point where consequences are most likely to manifest first. As the region moved into late December and early January, intelligence indicators suggested that Israel was preparing for a significant military campaign in southern Lebanon, extending south of the Litani River and potentially beyond it. According to this assessment, the campaign ...

🚨 SHABBAT EMERGENCY ALERT GUIDANCE FOR LONG-RANGE MISSILE THREATS TO ISRAEL

🪖 IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said there are no changes to the Home Front Command’s instructions for the Israeli public, despite ongoing tensions with Iran. “Ahead of the Sabbath, I want to say to all citizens of Israel: the IDF is optimally prepared, both defensively and offensively. It is important to emphasize that there is no change to the Home Front Command’s instructions. We will ensure to update you if there is any change,” he said. 🛡️ Home Front Command status: Home Front Command instructions remain unchanged at this time as noted. In long-range missile scenarios originating from Yemen or Iran, missiles travel roughly 1,600–2,000 kilometers, and early alerts may be issued several minutes before impact, ahead of the standard red alert siren. ⏱️ Warning time differences: Unlike short-range rocket fire from Gaza or Lebanon, where red alerts typically provide about 15 seconds to 1.5 minutes to reach shelter, long-range missile threats involve earlier notific...

⚠️ U.S. FORCES POSITION NAVAL AND AIR POWER WITHIN STRIKE RANGE OF IRAN AS ISRAEL EXTENDS RESERVE CALL-UP AND IRAN CARRIES OUT REPORTED PROTEST EXECUTION

‼️ U.S. naval and air posture near Iran: The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group has moved into the eastern Arabian Sea and is preparing to enter the Gulf of Oman, placing U.S. naval airpower within direct strike range of Iran. Carrier-based F-35C Lightning II and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft, supported by aerial refueling, are assessed as able to reach deep into Iranian territory, including nuclear and missile-related sites. The carrier is assessed to be operating roughly 600–1,600 miles from Tehran. The broader U.S. naval posture under U.S. Central Command and European Command includes Tomahawk-capable destroyers USS Mitscher, McFaul, Oscar Austin, Roosevelt, Bulkeley, and Paul Ignatius, and submarines USS South Dakota and USS Georgia, with combined Tomahawk capacity estimated at 358 missiles, rising to approximately 454 when including the Abraham Lincoln strike group. The carrier group includes USS Abraham Lincoln with escort destroyers USS Frank E. Petersen, USS...
