❗️ U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said: “Hezbollah is not just an enemy of Israel and an enemy of America, Hezbollah is an enemy of Lebanon and of the Lebanese people.” He said Hezbollah had also openly called for the overthrow of the Lebanese government.
♟️ Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, said: “From the Persian Gulf to Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq, we are all paying the price for the growing regional ambitions of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” He said “a reassessment of this approach is necessary and inevitable,” and called for a profound change in regional conduct.
🎯 Despite the ceasefire in Lebanon, the IDF says it is continuing to target Hezbollah facilities and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. IDF Arabic-language spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee warned residents not to travel south of the Zahrani River “until further notice,” adding: “Anyone traveling south is putting their life at risk.”
🇮🇱 The IDF General Staff Forum held its weekly assessment this morning with mayors and local council leaders from the northern border. IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir told them: “Our mission is clear, to restore peace and security to you for the long term. We are committed to creating a better security reality here over time.”
❌ The IDF revealed that an explosive-laden Hezbollah FPV drone struck near Northern Command chief MG Rafi Milo during a visit to southern Lebanon several weeks ago. The military said no damage was caused and there were no casualties, though reports indicate the drone hit one of the vehicles in Milo’s convoy shortly after he exited his car. Following the incident, the IDF changed protocols for senior officer visits in southern Lebanon.
❗️ UNIFIL announced that one peacekeeper was killed and two others were wounded after mortar shells struck a position near Marjayoun overnight. The critically injured peacekeeper was evacuated to Beirut and later died of his wounds. UNIFIL said it opened an investigation “to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to this tragic incident.” Its statement did not mention either Hezbollah or the IDF.
💰 The Israeli government approved a multi-year rehabilitation and fortification plan for northern communities along the confrontation line. More than 13 billion shekels were allocated for immediate protection, long-term fortification, economic recovery, growth, and development.
