🇺🇸 U.S.-LED COALITION STRIKES NEARLY 2,000 TARGETS ACROSS IRAN IN OPERATION “EPIC FURY” AS IDF ELIMINATES HEZBOLLAH ANTI-TANK ATTACKER IN SOUTHERN LEBANON

🇺🇸 CENTCOM UPDATE ON OPERATION “EPIC FURY”: U.S. Central Command commander ADM Brad Cooper provided an operational update on Operation “Epic Fury,” now in its fourth day. He described it as an unprecedented U.S.-led campaign aimed at eliminating Iran’s ability to threaten American forces and interests in the region.

CENTCOM said the operation was launched by order of the U.S. President and senior defense leadership and is being carried out alongside Israel as part of a large multinational effort.

More than 50,000 U.S. troops, 200 fighter aircraft, two aircraft carrier strike groups, and strategic bombers are participating. CENTCOM described this as the largest U.S. military buildup in the Middle East in a generation.

In the opening phase, U.S. and Israeli forces conducted massive coordinated strikes across Iran. CENTCOM said the first 24 hours were reportedly nearly double the scale of the “shock and awe” campaign in Iraq in 2003.

Operations are continuing around the clock across air, sea, cyber, and space domains. Less than 100 hours into the campaign, coalition forces have struck nearly 2,000 targets using more than 2,000 munitions.

According to CENTCOM, the strikes have severely degraded Iran’s air defense network and destroyed hundreds of ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones. The stated focus is eliminating systems capable of threatening coalition forces and partners.

Strategic bombers, including B-2, B-1, and B-52 aircraft, have carried out deep strikes against Iranian missile facilities and command centers.

Naval forces have launched multiple waves of cruise missile strikes and are conducting maritime operations against Iranian naval assets. CENTCOM said 17 Iranian vessels have been destroyed, including a submarine.

CENTCOM added that no Iranian naval ships are currently operating in the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or the Gulf of Oman.

On the defensive front, U.S. forces and partners continue intercepting Iranian retaliatory attacks. CENTCOM said Iran has launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones, many directed toward civilian areas.

U.S. commanders said Iran’s ability to strike effectively is declining as coalition combat power continues to build.

CENTCOM said the campaign has included first-time combat use of several systems, including the U.S. Army’s long-range Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). The update also cited large-scale operations by CENTCOM’s “Task Force Scorpion Strike” drone unit, which deployed numerous one-way attack drones against Iranian targets.

According to CENTCOM, combined U.S. and Israeli air power currently dominates Iranian airspace. Coalition forces are continuing to hunt remaining mobile ballistic missile launchers as part of efforts to eliminate Iran’s remaining launch capability.

U.S. leadership said the operation is progressing ahead of operational timelines, with additional capabilities continuing to deploy to the region.
