‼️ U.S. AND ISRAELI STRIKE PREPARATIONS: A senior U.S. official told Maariv: "I wouldn't be surprised if Trump declared war on Iran this evening". Israeli Channel 12 reported that Israel’s defense establishment assesses an attack on Iran is a "done deal" and will happen very soon. President Trump said: "Iran is eager for an agreement but cannot simply say it will not build nuclear weapons".
As part of preparations for an attack on Iran, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir visited Hatzerim Air Force Base in the Negev today and met with combat squadrons, including Squadron 69, according to Israeli Channel 13.
♟️ U.S. STRIKE CAPACITY ASSESSMENT: An Israeli intelligence official told the Financial Times that Israel assesses the United States, despite assembling a massive regional force including two aircraft carriers, has the capacity to sustain four to five days of intense aerial assault on Iran. 🇹🇷 REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PREPARATIONS: Bloomberg reported Turkey is making preparations for a possible U.S.-led strike on Iran, as NATO air surveillance in Turkey has shifted from Russia to Iran and AWACS flights from Konya have increased. Bloomberg sources said this could be intended to pressure Tehran into concessions on issues including curtailing its nuclear program, with the possibility of a wider attack if Iran refuses, while Turkey has urged both sides not to fuel tensions.
Bloomberg also reported Turkey has updated contingency plans for large refugee flows, including options ranging from camps near the border to entering Iranian territory to stop refugees from crossing, with the latter only considered in the event of a power vacuum in Iran.
🇩🇪 The German Foreign Ministry called on German nationals in Israel to take precautionary measures, be prepared for a possible closure of Israeli airspace, and stay in their current locations due to potential Iranian attacks on Israel. The ministry also said: "We call on our citizens in Lebanon to be cautious as the US may launch an attack on Iran".
🇮🇷 IRAN MILITARY SIGNALS AND INCIDENTS: The IRGC Ground Forces launched military exercises in southern Iran and on islands in the Gulf, including live-fire drills and new combat tactics led by the IRGC’s Madinah Headquarters.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said: "You cannot contain a war once it is started. How can one end a war with just one strike? That is a real gamble. A war can be started — but ending it is not easy. The whole region will suffer as a result of an aggression against Iran".
Iranian state TV reported that an Iranian military helicopter crashed in a Dorcheh fruit and vegetable market during a training flight, killing the pilot, co-pilot, and two civilians.
🇨🇳 IRAN–CHINA MISSILE DEAL: Reuters reported Iran is close to finalizing a deal with China to purchase CM-302 supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles with a range of about 290 km. Reuters said the missiles fly low and fast to evade ship defenses and could strengthen Iran’s ability to target naval vessels, including U.S. warships operating near its coast, marking one of the most advanced Chinese weapons transfers to Iran in decades if completed.
