According to an indictment cited by Israel Hayom, a Shin Bet officer and three civilians are accused of involvement in smuggling goods into Gaza.

The officer allegedly told colleagues the transfers were connected to authorized security activity and briefed IDF forces accordingly in order to move the trucks into the Gaza Strip.

According to the indictment, he told other defendants he could arrange for trucks to enter Gaza “with a phone call.” It was later agreed he would receive two million shekels for each smuggled truck, with the remaining profits divided among the other participants.
