🔸 ISRAEL-LEBANON TALKS HELD IN WASHINGTON: The fifth round of Israel-Lebanon talks is taking place in Washington.
Israel's ambassador to the United States, participating in the talks, said the premise was that Iran would not influence Lebanese affairs, but warned there is a danger Hezbollah has received a boost.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated: "The future of Lebanon belongs to the Lebanese people through their sovereign, elected government."
⚔️ HEZBOLLAH ACCUSES ISRAEL OF CEASEFIRE VIOLATION; IDF SAYS OPERATIVES POSED IMMEDIATE THREAT: Hezbollah claimed Israel violated the ceasefire by opening fire on what it described as a "group of civilians" near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
According to Hezbollah, those present were "working to clear roads and recover the bodies of martyrs from beneath the rubble." Lebanese media reported two fatalities and additional wounded.
The organization warned that "what the enemy has done constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire, which the resistance (Hezbollah) has adhered to until now."
The IDF gave a different account, stating that troops in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area struck a group of Hezbollah gunmen who posed a threat to Israeli forces.
According to the military, soldiers identified four Hezbollah operatives riding a bulldozer and a motorcycle who had crossed into the Security Zone and approached troops in a manner that posed an immediate threat.
The soldiers first conducted warning fire. After the operatives continued approaching and failed to respond to the troops' calls, additional fire was carried out to remove the threat. Hits were identified, and the IDF said at least one operative was struck.
The IDF stated that Hezbollah operates under civilian cover in an effort to conceal terrorist activity, and said this incident was another example of the organization's use of Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure as a shield for its operations.
❌ LARGE-SCALE COUNTERTERRORISM OPERATION IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA: Overnight, IDF soldiers, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Israel Border Police forces launched a large-scale counterterrorism operation in the Bethlehem area.
Forces searched approximately 50 structures and apprehended 19 wanted individuals, including arms dealers.
Security forces also located and confiscated an M-16 rifle, ammunition, and weapon parts.
In a separate operation in the Tulkarm area, two wanted individuals were apprehended, and two pistols with ammunition were confiscated.
The IDF stated that since the beginning of 2026, security forces have confiscated more than 250 weapons and 40 weapon-production machines used to manufacture firearms and explosive devices throughout Judea and Samaria.
The security forces said operations continue throughout the region to thwart terrorism and safeguard residents of the area and civilians of the State of Israel.
