🏫 DAYCARE SUPPORT FRAMEWORK DURING WARTIME: The Ministries of Finance and Labor, together with supervised “Symbol Daycare” organizations, reached an agreement to stabilize the early childhood daycare system during the March wartime period.
The framework follows the broader state compensation model for businesses and unpaid-leave employees, with the goal of reducing financial strain on families and preserving readiness for daycare centers to resume operations once Home Front Command restrictions are lifted.
Approximately 85% of parents’ payments for periods when daycare centers were closed will be reimbursed. Caregivers will receive compensation through government-funded unpaid-leave mechanisms, supplemented by additional grants, with advance payments issued to accelerate salary delivery.
Authorities said early transfer of funds will help daycare organizations maintain financial flexibility and prepare for a rapid return to full activity. Officials said the agreement is intended to ease the burden on families, ensure income stability for caregivers, and reinforce the resilience of Israel’s early childhood education infrastructure during the ongoing emergency period.
The Ministry of Education said that starting Tuesday, with the beginning of the Passover vacation, special education programs will continue to operate, and informal activities will be allowed subject to Home Front Command approval. Holiday camps will operate only in municipalities that choose to open them.
As a reminder, all schools across the country will conduct remote learning tomorrow following last night’s rocket falls in Dimona and Arad.
⚔ IDF CAMPAIGN AGAINST HEZBOLLAH: “ONLY JUST BEGINNING” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the campaign against Hezbollah remains in its early stages and is expected to continue intensifying.
He emphasized that Iran remains the primary focus, while the northern front is a central and interconnected arena, describing Hezbollah as a key proxy of the Iranian regime. Zamir said Hezbollah made a “grave mistake” by joining the war against Israel, warning that the decision carries consequences for both the group and the State of Lebanon.
He stressed that Israel’s position is clear: "There is no safe haven for the regime and its proxies, any threat to Israeli citizens will be met with a determined, precise, and powerful response."
Zamir said the IDF has struck more than 2,000 targets in recent weeks, including dozens of weapons depots, and eliminated hundreds of terrorists. He added that despite these gains, the campaign is far from over.
The IDF is preparing to deepen ground operations in southern Lebanon alongside continued airstrikes, with the objective of pushing the threat away from Israel’s northern border and ensuring long-term security for residents. Zamir added that once the campaign against Iran concludes, Hezbollah is expected to be left isolated.
