⚠️ MISSILE BARRAGE FROM IRAN; HOME FRONT COMMAND ORDERS PROTECTED-SPACE READINESS: Sirens sounded in multiple areas across Israel following the identification of missiles launched from Iran, with additional barrages reported. The IDF Aerial Defense Array is identifying and intercepting threats while the Israeli Air Force is operating to intercept and strike where necessary to remove the threat.

The Home Front Command instructs the public to remain in protected spaces until official notice and to continue following all instructions. The IDF emphasizes not to publish or share footage or locations of impacts, and notes that the defense is not hermetic.

Home Front Command chief Maj. Gen. Shay Kleper said: “Past experiences prove that the public's strict following of protocol has saved many lives; the grit and responsibility of everyone are key elements in countering the threat. Take the coming time to familiarize yourselves with and prepare the most optimal protected space near you. At this time, local authorities are opening public protected spaces for your use. IDF troops are dispatched and are prepared to operate to ensure your safety. Follow the instructions of the Home Front Command — they save lives.”

💥 ISRAEL AND U.S. STRIKE IRANIAN REGIME AND MILITARY SITES UNDER OPERATION “LION’S ROAR”: Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran to remove threats to the State of Israel and declared an immediate nationwide state of emergency. The IDF said the proactive alert is intended to prepare the public for the possibility of missile fire toward Israel’s territory, and that as of now there is no need to enter shelters.

Home Front Command messaging cited the security situation and instructed civilians to stay close to bomb shelters, know the optimal protected shelter near them, and avoid non-essential travel. The ongoing strikes in Iran were described as being conducted jointly by Israel and the United States.

Explosions were reported in Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, and Kermanshah, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency. An Israeli official said Israel is preparing for several days of conflict and that the morning strikes targeted Iranian regime and military sites.

The operation was named “Lion’s Roar” (She’agat Ha’ari), with “Magen Yehuda” (Shield of Judea) listed as a code name for the operation.
