πŸ”΄ Mass-casualty incident in Arad: All casualties from the Iranian ballistic missile strike in Arad have been evacuated to hospitals, according to Magen David Adom.

Emergency teams used dozens of ambulances, intensive care units, and Air Force helicopters to evacuate 75 casualties, including 71 physically injured and 4 suffering from acute anxiety. Among the wounded, 10 are in serious condition, 13 in moderate condition, and 48 are lightly injured.

The Ministry of Health says some of the wounded initially taken to hospitals in southern Israel are being transferred to medical centers in central Israel to ease capacity and ensure appropriate treatment.

πŸ›‘οΈ Rescue operations at the impact sites: Home Front Command search and rescue forces are operating at sites where impacts were reported in southern Israel, including Arad.

Home Front Command chief Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper has been at the scene with rescue forces in recent hours, while the military continues to call on the public to follow life-saving instructions and act accordingly upon receiving alerts.

Footage from the scene shows the missile struck between several apartment buildings in Arad, causing extensive damage and wounding dozens. Additional footage shows Home Front Command forces at the impact site and national search and rescue teams on the way to the affected areas.

πŸ›‘οΈ IDF says failed interception will be investigated: IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says the ballistic missiles that struck Dimona and Arad do not represent a new threat, despite the failure to intercept them.

"The air defense systems operated but did not intercept the missile, we will investigate the incident and learn from it. This is not a special or unfamiliar type of munition," he says.

Defrin adds, "our hearts are with the residents of Arad and Dimona tonight" and wishes the dozens of victims a speedy recovery. "It is important to remember, follow the Home Front Command guidelines. They save lives," he adds.

🎯 Chief of Staff approves strikes through the night: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held an assessment with senior officers following the missile impacts in Dimona and Arad.

The meeting included Operations Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Itzik Cohen, Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, Intelligence Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, and Home Front Command chief Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper.

The military says Zamir instructed the officers to "continue investigating the incidents and draw lessons from them." It adds that he approved strikes set to take place tonight "across all fronts."

In a briefing to military correspondents, the IDF said, β€œThe Chief of Staff has approved strikes to continue through the night across all combat zones.”
