🔴 CLUSTER MUNITIONS STRIKE CENTRAL ISRAEL: Iran’s latest ballistic missile attack included at least one missile carrying a cluster bomb warhead, spreading bomblets over a wide area and causing multiple impacts in central Israel, including Kafr Qasim.
Magen David Adom says five people in Kafr Qasim were lightly wounded by blasts from the bomblets and taken to a hospital. Medics scanned additional areas in the city where submunitions struck.
🔴 ADDITIONAL INJURIES IN OTHER AREAS: In Tel Aviv, Magen David Adom revised the toll to two lightly wounded: a woman in her 40s hit by shrapnel and a 26-year-old man hurt by a blast.
In northern Israel, one man was wounded by shrapnel and is listed in light-to-moderate condition, apparently after a submunition or other falling fragments hit the area.
Two people were also lightly injured in the Western Galilee by falling fragments following the interception of a Hezbollah drone.
🔴 DAMAGE IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA: Homes in two communities in Judea and Samaria were damaged in the attack, with one apparently hit by a bomblet.
The Samaria Regional Council said: "In both cases, the families were in the bomb safe room," and no injuries were reported there.
🔴 PUBLIC INSTRUCTIONS: IDF search and rescue forces are on their way to sites in central Israel where impacts were reported.
The public is requested to avoid gathering in these areas and to continue following Home Front Command instructions.
🕯️ IDF SOLDIER KILLED, HEZBOLLAH OPERATIVES ELIMINATED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON CLASH: Deadly exchange with Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon, Staff Sgt. Ori Greenberg, 21, of the Golani Brigade’s Reconnaissance Unit from Petah Tikva, was killed during an overnight exchange of fire with Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon.
According to an initial IDF probe, at around 2 a.m. Golani troops identified several Hezbollah operatives in their area of operations and engaged them. During the clash, Greenberg was killed and another soldier was lightly wounded, though he did not require hospitalization.
The IDF says the troops eliminated several Hezbollah operatives and are continuing scans in the area for the remaining gunmen. Greenberg is the third IDF soldier killed in Israel’s renewed ground offensive against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
❗️ AS ADDITIONAL TROOPS WOUNDED IN MULTIPLE INCIDENTS: Additional casualties in separate incidents, an IDF soldier was severely injured by mortar fire launched toward troops in Lebanon. He was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family was notified.
An IDF officer was moderately wounded by shrapnel as a result of fire carried out by other Israeli forces during overnight operations in southern Lebanon.
In a separate incident, 15 troops were taken to hospital with suspected hypothermia. The IDF says one soldier is in moderate condition and the others are in good condition.
