⚠️ Evacuation warning issued in southern Lebanon: The IDF warned civilians to leave the area ahead of a planned wave of strikes on bridges crossing the Litani River. The strikes are intended to cut off southern Lebanon from the north by disrupting key crossing routes.
🎯 Weapon transport cell identified and eliminated: Troops from the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division identified Hezbollah operatives unloading weapons, including RPGs, from a vehicle in southern Lebanon with the intent of attacking IDF forces.
A short time later, an Israeli Air Force drone struck and eliminated the operatives before the planned attack could be carried out.
🎯 Rocket-launching operatives eliminated in rapid response: Troops from the 401st Armored Brigade identified two Hezbollah operatives after they fired indirect projectiles toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon.
The two were struck and eliminated shortly afterward. No damage or injuries were reported.
💥 Hezbollah infrastructure demolished across southern Lebanon: Troops from the 300th “Baram” Regional Brigade demolished over 80 Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon.
During the operations, forces also eliminated two Hezbollah operatives who emerged from one of the sites.
💥 Barrage partially disrupted overnight:
The IDF assesses it thwarted more than half of Hezbollah’s planned rocket barrage on northern Israel, as the group prepares for repeated, potentially larger attacks every few days. Hezbollah intended to launch at least 100 rockets but ultimately fired around 40 short-range rockets, several missiles, and five drones.
Most projectiles were intercepted, fell in open areas, or landed short inside Lebanon. One rocket struck a home in Karmiel, causing damage, while all five drones were successfully intercepted.
🎯 Preemptive and responsive strikes on launch infrastructure: The Israeli Air Force targeted Hezbollah launchers, launch teams, and command centers before and during the barrage. Several launchers were destroyed prior to use, and at least 10 additional launchers were struck afterward to prevent follow-on fire.
In response, the IDF also conducted broader strikes across Lebanon, including in Tyre, described as a Hezbollah “center of gravity.” The area had been partially evacuated, with additional warnings issued ahead of the strikes.
📊 Sustained fire and evolving deployment patterns: Hezbollah has launched an estimated average of about 150 rockets per day in recent days. Roughly two-thirds of the fire has targeted Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon and along the border, with the remainder directed at Israeli territory.
The IDF assesses Hezbollah still retains thousands of short-range rockets (up to 40 km range) and hundreds of longer-range projectiles. Much of this capability has been repositioned deeper in southern Lebanon, including north of the Litani River, limiting short-range fire primarily to border areas and the Galilee.
🧭 Adaptation and ground engagement dynamics: Hezbollah has decentralized its rocket array, dispersing smaller launchers across multiple locations. This reduces the intensity of individual barrages but complicates detection and targeting.
The IDF also struck gas stations identified as Hezbollah-owned, aiming to degrade the group’s financial resources and mobility.
As ground operations continue, the IDF estimates fewer than 1,000 Radwan Force operatives crossed the Litani River, with at least 200 killed. Remaining operatives are operating in small cells across villages and have largely retreated following encounters with Israeli forces.
