💥 IDF strike targets IRGC Quds Force commanders in Beirut: The IDF conducted a precise strike targeting key commanders in the Iranian IRGC’s Quds Force Lebanon Corps operating in Beirut. According to the military, the commanders worked to advance terror attacks against the State of Israel and its civilians while operating simultaneously on behalf of the IRGC in Iran.
The IDF said the Lebanon Corps serves as the link between the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Iranian regime, supports Hezbollah force-building, and connects senior IRGC personnel with Hezbollah leadership. The military also said the Iranian regime operates within civilian populations in Iran and Lebanon and exploits civilians as human shields to advance terror activity.
Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance. Lebanese media reported four people killed in a strike on a hotel in Beirut overnight, while the IDF said the targets were members of the IRGC Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps who “acted to advance terror plans against the State of Israel and its citizens from Lebanese territory.”
The military stated it will continue to eliminate Iranian regime operatives wherever they operate.
❗️ Drone incidents reported in Iraq and Cyprus: Two drones fell near the UN headquarters and the Turkish Consulate in Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Separately, the Cypriot Foreign Ministry said drone attacks targeting British bases in Cyprus originated from Lebanon. The ministry added that “it has become necessary to focus on the Lebanese front, and we cannot rule out any possibility.”
According to The Times, a drone that hit RAF Akrotiri Air Base was equipped with Russian-made military hardware, and components recovered by British military intelligence were sent to a laboratory in the United Kingdom for further investigation. Cyprus also officially accused Hezbollah, saying the drones aimed at British bases were launched from Lebanon.
⚠️ Iran warns Britain against deeper involvement: Ali Mousavi, Iran’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, warned London to be “very careful” about becoming further involved in the war.
“Iran will have the right to defend itself if Britain directly joins the attacks against us,” Mousavi said in an interview with the BBC.
❗️ Security forces investigate deadly incident near Khirbet Abu Falah: Overnight, IDF and Israel Border Police forces were dispatched to the area of Khirbet Abu Falah in Judea and Samaria following a report that Palestinians were attacked by Israeli civilians near homes in the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, security forces dispersed those involved using crowd dispersal measures. Later, it was reported that two Palestinians were killed as a result of gunfire and another Palestinian died from suffocation.
The incident was immediately examined by Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth together with representatives from the Judea and Samaria District Police and the Border Police. A criminal investigation was opened by the relevant authorities.
The IDF strongly condemned the violence and said several recent incidents harming both Palestinians and Israeli civilians deviated from expected conduct and are viewed with the utmost severity.
Bluth said: “This is an unacceptable incident. There will be zero tolerance for civilians who take the law into their own hands. These actions are dangerous, they do not represent the Jewish people or the State of Israel, and they divert us from our mission of defending the population and thwarting terrorism, while also undermining security and stability in the area. We are working together with all security agencies to quickly reach those responsible and bring them to justice. Especially at a time when the IDF is striking our bitter enemies, Iran and Hezbollah, with a firm hand — we cannot allow reckless internal violence to undermine the rule of law and the security of the region.”
