He ordered reinforcement of both offensive operations and defensive posture in the sector, and said the IDF is prepared to operate simultaneously across multiple arenas with ground, air, naval, and fire capabilities deployed along the borders.
Zamir said Israel’s core effort remains focused on Iran and is being conducted in unprecedented cooperation with the United States, while Hezbollah is being struck forcefully after initiating attacks. He warned Israel will not conclude the campaign until the threat from Lebanon is eliminated and Hezbollah is disarmed, adding that the Lebanese government and army were repeatedly warned but failed to act.
Addressing northern residents, Zamir said the IDF controls the skies over Lebanon, is deployed on the front line, and will dismantle any identified threat. He said there will be no further evacuation of Israeli communities and that civilian protection remains the top priority.
He concluded that Israel’s message across the region is clear: the IDF will strike all terrorist leaders and factions threatening Israel, and intends to end the campaign with both Iran struck and Hezbollah suffering a devastating blow.
