🎗️ 16-KILOMETER HAMAS TUNNEL WHERE LT. HADAR GOLDIN WAS HELD HAS BEEN SEALED: IDF troops have completed sealing the underground tunnel in southern Rafah where LT. Hadar Goldin was held after he was killed in battle and abducted on August 1, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge.
Following sustained IDF operations in Gaza, LT. Goldin was returned for burial in Israel as part of the November 2025 hostage return framework.
The operation, led by the Southern Command with the Yahalom Unit and Shayetet 13, located and sealed the tunnel over the past three months. Engineering forces from the Gaza Division, Southern Command, and the Yahalom Unit used more than 30,000 cubic meters of concrete to seal the tunnel, which stretched more than 16 kilometers.
The tunnel complex contained approximately 80 living quarters and served as a Hamas command-and-control center. It was also used by the commander of Hamas's Rafah Brigade to plan and direct terrorist operations.
The tunnel ran beneath a residential neighborhood, mosques, kindergartens, clinics, a school, and a UNRWA clinic near the Philadelphi Corridor.
🎯 HEAD OF HAMAS MILITARY DEFENSE IN RAFAH BRIGADE ELIMINATED: The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) confirmed the elimination of Ismail Masri, Hamas's Head of Military Defense in the Rafah Brigade, in a strike carried out last week.
According to the IDF, Masri was a senior figure within Hamas's Rafah Brigade who coordinated its military security and counterintelligence activities while working to rehabilitate and rebuild Hamas's military capabilities.
The military said he was responsible for advancing activities intended to harm IDF soldiers and restrict the IDF's freedom of action in the Gaza Strip.
💥 IDF STRIKES HAMAS UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE IN CENTRAL GAZA: On Saturday, the IDF struck three targets within a Hamas underground terror infrastructure site in Deir al-Balah after identifying that Hamas had been attempting to restore the site in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
According to the IDF, the strikes were intended to dismantle the underground infrastructure.
The military said Hamas systematically embeds its terrorist infrastructure within the heart of the civilian population in Gaza, using civilians as human shields to advance terrorist attacks.
🎯 ISLAMIC JIHAD TERRORIST WHO PARTICIPATED IN OCTOBER 7 ABDUCTIONS ELIMINATED: The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) eliminated Zaher Brahim Khalil Abu Salem in northern Gaza.
According to the IDF, Abu Salem infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, participated in abducting Israeli civilians from their homes, helped hold hostages, and continued throughout the war, including in recent days, to advance numerous terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The military said he posed an ongoing threat to forces operating in Gaza and was eliminated in an aerial strike.
