❗️ IDF says terrorist used child to transfer weapons: Footage shows a child transferring weapons into a civilian home in central Gaza. The IDF said troops operating in the Gaza Strip identified a terrorist using the child to move the weapons.
According to the military, the terrorist used the child as a human shield in an attempt to prevent the IDF from striking and thwarting the weapons transfer. After identifying the child’s presence, the IDF refrained from carrying out any strikes against the terrorist.
The military described the incident as another example of terrorist organizations systematically exploiting children for terrorist purposes, in violation of international law, to advance and carry out attacks against IDF troops operating in the area of the Yellow Line and against Israeli civilians.
🎯 Hamas commander involved in holding hostages eliminated: The IDF said it eliminated Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabain, a commander in Hamas’ military wing, in an airstrike in northern Gaza last week to remove the threat he posed.
According to the military, throughout the war Gabain was involved in holding Ziv Berman, Gali Berman, Eitan Mor, Liri Albag, Agam Berger, Matan Angrest, Omri Miran, Keith Siegel and Alon Ohel in Hamas captivity in Gaza.
The IDF said he had recently advanced attacks against its troops and Israeli civilians and worked to restore Hamas’ capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire.
⚠️ Small attack drone ban extended after deadly accident: IDF Ground Forces chief Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan has further extended the ban on using small attack drones following last week’s deadly accident in Gaza.
Lotan held an assessment of Thursday’s incident, in which a first-person view (FPV) drone known as "Atalef", Hebrew for bat, crashed during takeoff at an army post in northern Gaza. It exploded minutes later when its operators picked it up, killing Master Sgt. (res.) Nadav Kali, 24, and Master Sgt. (res.) Ofek Moalem, 23.
All such drones were initially grounded for 48 hours. The military said the ban has now been extended until October 4, "as a preventive precaution."
Next Sunday, ground troops will be able to use small attack drones again, "as required, and report on their use," the military said.
