🎯 IDF INTERCEPTS AERIAL TARGET IN SOUTHERN LEBANON, APPREHENDS RADWAN TERRORIST, ELIMINATES THREATS IN GAZA; DEFENSE MINISTRY SIGNS ₪600M MUNITIONS DEAL

🚀 AERIAL INTERCEPTION IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: An interceptor was launched toward a suspicious aerial target identified near IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon. The target did not cross into Israeli territory, and no sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.

The Israeli Air Force later confirmed the target was successfully intercepted.

❌ RADWAN FORCE TERRORIST APPREHENDED: IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon identified a Hezbollah Radwan Force terrorist planning an imminent attack against troops. During IDF activity to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the area, the terrorist surrendered and was apprehended.

He was then transferred to Unit 504 for further questioning.

🎯 TERRORISTS ELIMINATED IN NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN GAZA: In the northern Gaza Strip, IDF troops identified a terrorist operating in the area of the Yellow Line and approaching the troops in a manner that posed an immediate threat. The troops eliminated the terrorist in order to remove the threat.

In a separate incident in the southern Gaza Strip, IDF troops eliminated a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and approached the troops, also posing an immediate threat.

🛡️ DEFENSE MINISTRY SIGNS ₪600M MUNITIONS DEAL: The Ministry of Defense signed a multi-year agreement with Elbit Systems worth over ₪600 million to procure aerial munitions. The procurement is being led by the Defense Procurement Directorate (Manhar), including its air and naval division.

The munitions will be produced at Elbit facilities across Israel, supporting thousands of jobs and strengthening Israel’s domestic defense production base.

♟️ STRATEGIC SHIFT TOWARD DEFENSE INDEPENDENCE: The agreement is part of a broader effort to improve readiness for immediate combat scenarios and prepare for a more intensive security environment in the coming decade. It is intended to ensure operational continuity, reduce reliance on external suppliers during wartime, and strengthen internal supply chains.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel must maintain the ability to act with speed and force without dependence on foreign entities. Ministry leadership said the agreement reflects a broader strategy, shaped by lessons from the recent conflict, to expand Israel’s internal defense industry and build long-term infrastructure for independent production, advanced technology, and reliable supply chains.
