🎯 IRAN — MINISTRY OF INTELLIGENCE LEADERSHIP ELIMINATED; TEHRAN HQ STRUCK: Guided by precise IDF intelligence, the Israeli Air Force eliminated senior members of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence during the opening strike of Operation Roaring Lion.
Those targeted include Sayed Yahya Hamidi, Deputy Minister of Intelligence for Israel Affairs, and Jalal Pour Hossein, head of the ministry’s Espionage Division, along with additional senior operatives.
The IDF says these officials advanced terrorist activity against Jews, Western targets, and regime opponents in Iran and abroad and supported violent suppression of protests inside Iran.
In addition to the eliminations, the Israeli Air Force struck the ministry’s headquarters in Tehran shortly afterward.
During the war, IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip found documents describing repeated attempts to establish a joint intelligence operations room involving Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Lebanon, led by personnel from the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.
The IDF says the eliminations delivered a significant blow to Iran’s ability to advance terrorist attacks and target regime opponents within Iran.
The ministry is described by the IDF as Iran’s main intelligence body, reporting directly to the Supreme Leader and possessing the regime’s most advanced capabilities.
The IDF notes the ministry has been under U.S. sanctions for years due to its role in advancing terrorist operations and operating a global espionage network.
🎯 IRAN — ADDITIONAL STRIKE WAVES IN TEHRAN; ZAMIR: OPERATION TO CONTINUE: The Israeli Air Force, guided by intelligence, has begun an additional wave of strikes against Iranian regime targets in central Tehran, according to an initial report.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a situational assessment with the General Staff Forum and approved plans to continue the operation this evening (Sun.).
“We are concluding the first day of the operation — we opened with surprise, with great force, and with highly significant achievements,” Zamir says.
He says Israel is less than 48 hours into the operation and that additional days of combat lie ahead.
Zamir says one primary objective is reducing threats to the home front, adding: “Coordination with the U.S. military is closer than ever.”
He also referenced the incident in Beit Shemesh: “We went through a tragic and difficult incident in Beit Shemesh. Our hearts are with the injured and the murdered. It must be said that even at this moment, the incident is still ongoing.”
The IDF says the Israeli Air Force has completed over 30 strikes against Iran’s ballistic missile array and aerial defense systems as part of Operation Roaring Lion, aimed at minimizing fire toward Israel and degrading Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities.
An initial report says Iranian Navy chief Rear Adm. Shahram Irani has been killed in recent U.S.–Israel strikes in Tehran, with official confirmation still awaited.
