💥 LAUNCHERS DISMANTLED AND STRIKES CONTINUE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: IDF forces dismantled launchers in southern Lebanon used in the most recent rocket barrage toward Israel and are continuing efforts to locate and strike additional launchers.
Soldiers from the 146th Division located dozens of rocket launchers loaded and ready to fire toward Israel in the Ramiyah area. The launchers and rockets were dismantled shortly after being identified, and one launcher used earlier to fire at northern communities was also located and dismantled from the air.
Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, more than 180 launchers have been struck across Lebanon. IDF forces, together with the Israeli Air Force, also dismantled terror infrastructure including anti-tank launch posts, observation positions, tunnel shafts, weapons storage sites, and operational apartments.
🎯 HEZBOLLAH CELLS ELIMINATED DURING GROUND OPERATIONS: IDF troops eliminated a terrorist cell that launched a UAV at forces in southern Lebanon. Three soldiers were moderately injured, evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
In a separate incident, troops from the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit engaged terrorists in close combat after coming under fire. With aerial support and tank fire, the troops returned fire and eliminated the terrorists. Four IDF soldiers were killed and three were injured in the encounter.
Following the incident, the Nahal Brigade Commander told troops: “Yesterday, during an encounter with terrorists, we lost four of our finest. We set out on this operation to defend the residents of the north, to fight the enemy, and to remove the threat from the northern communities”
🎯 SENIOR IRANIAN AND HEZBOLLAH OPERATIVES ELIMINATED: In two separate strikes in the Beirut area, the IDF struck a senior Hezbollah commander and an additional senior terrorist.
The Israeli Air Force also struck and eliminated Mahdi Vafaei, Head of the Engineering Branch of the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps, in the Mahallat area in Iran. Over two decades in the role, Vafaei advanced underground infrastructure projects across Lebanon and Syria, including sites used for the storage of advanced weapons.
His elimination degrades Hezbollah’s ability to develop underground infrastructure and undermines Iranian efforts to advance terror activity across the region.
❗️UNIFIL INJURY INCIDENT WAS NOT CAUSED BY ISRAELI FORCES: An IDF inquiry found that the explosion in the Bani Haiyyan area in which UNIFIL troops were injured was not caused by IDF activity. The review determined that no explosive device was placed there by Israeli troops and that no IDF forces were present in the area.
The IDF said it is operating against Hezbollah, not against UNIFIL, the Lebanese Armed Forces, or Lebanese civilians, and called on UNIFIL to avoid combat zones where evacuation warnings have been issued.
🛰️ IDF UAV DOWNED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: During Israeli Air Force operational activity in southern Lebanon, a surface-to-air missile was launched at an IDF UAV. A hit was identified and the UAV fell.
The IDF said there is no concern of any information leak. The incident is under review.
🎯 HAMAS NAVAL OPERATIVE ELIMINATED IN GAZA: The IDF eliminated Ibrahim al-Khaldi, a Hamas naval force terrorist in the Nuseirat area. He served as a source of expertise while planning and advancing maritime attacks against IDF troops from the Gaza Strip.
