💥 IDF destroys major Hezbollah underground complex in southern Lebanon: Residents of the Western Galilee were warned by local authorities that a high-intensity explosion would be heard this evening as the IDF demolished a large Hezbollah underground facility in the village of Majdal Zoun, within the Security Zone in southern Lebanon.
Authorities also warned that the blast could trigger earthquake alerts on systems not connected to the IDF Home Front Command. The military took steps to prevent its own warning system from being activated, as it has done during previous Hezbollah tunnel demolitions.
The underground complex was built using technology and expertise provided by the Iranian regime. It stretched more than 200 meters and reached depths of over 25 meters.
Inside, IDF troops located hundreds of weapons and four launch shafts directed toward Israeli territory.
According to the IDF, the tunnel was used by Hezbollah to assemble, store, and launch Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles.
The IDF published footage showing the demolition of the tunnel. Israeli reporting described the amount of explosives poured into the area as greater than anything used on any front during the war.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the tunnel was destroyed as part of Operation “Final Verse.”
In a joint statement, they said: “As part of Operation ‘Final Verse,’ the IDF has just destroyed the underground terror infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror organization in the area of the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. The route, more than 200 meters long and over 25 meters deep, contained hundreds of weapons and several launch shafts intended to attack the State of Israel and its citizens.”
They added that Israel informed the United States and the American representative in Lebanon in advance of the demolition.
The statement concluded: “IDF commanders and soldiers will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon, continue to destroy terror infrastructures, remove threats from the northern communities, and maintain the safety of Israel’s citizens.”

Those killed were Lt. Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, 32, commander of the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, 21, Staff Sgt. Liav Kababia, 20, and Staff Sgt. Nave Habshoosh, 20.
