💥 HEZBOLLAH WEAPONS FOUND AND DESTROYED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON
During a targeted operation against Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure, the 401st Division located a weapons cache and destroyed five advanced anti-tank missiles intended for launch toward Israeli territory. Troops also found weapons caches inside underground compounds, and the weapons were dismantled immediately after discovery.
🕯️ FALLEN SOLDIER CLEARED FOR PUBLICATION AFTER HEZBOLLAH ANTI-TANK ATTACK: The IDF cleared for publication the name of Sergeant Liran Ben Zion, 19, from Holon, a soldier in the 9th Battalion of the 401st Brigade, who fell during combat in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF probe, one anti-tank missile struck a tank of the 9th Battalion, killing Ben Zion and seriously wounding an officer. A short while later, two additional anti-tank missiles were fired toward the troops, without causing further injuries. The IDF says forces are operating in the area to locate the cell behind the attack. Ben Zion is the sixth soldier killed since the renewed offensive against Hezbollah.
🔹 LEBANESE ARMY CASUALTIES IN AL AMARIA: A Lebanese military official told Al Jazeera that five Lebanese Army soldiers were injured, one critically, in an Israeli attack on a checkpoint in the town of Al Amaria. One of the wounded soldiers has since died from his injuries.
⚠️ LEBANON MOVES AGAINST IRANIAN AMBASSADOR, BUT TEHRAN PUSHES BACK: Lebanon declared the Iranian ambassador in Beirut persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country by Sunday. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said: "Our embassy in Lebanon remains open, and our ambassador will continue his work in Beirut, taking into account discussions with the relevant Lebanese authorities and the conclusions reached". Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said: "The Lebanese Foreign Ministry's decision to expel the Iranian ambassador remained on paper".
🚫 SPAIN AND ARMENIA TAKE PRECAUTIONARY STEPS: Spain closed its airspace to aircraft involved in the Iran war and barred use of its Rota and Morón air bases for related combat or refueling flights. The American University of Armenia has switched to online classes as a precaution after Iranian threats to target U.S. universities in the region.
❌ VEHICLE ATTACK FOILED NEAR TULKARM: IDF soldiers operating adjacent to Tulkarm identified a terrorist who accelerated his vehicle toward them in a manner that posed a threat to their safety. The soldiers opened fire and neutralized him. No IDF injuries were reported.
❌ ATTACKERS NEUTRALIZED IN DURA AND AL-RAM: Last night in the Dura area, IDF soldiers identified a terrorist armed with a knife running toward them and opened fire, eliminating him shortly afterward. In a separate operational activity in the Al-Ram area, soldiers opened fire at a terrorist who accelerated toward them with his vehicle, neutralizing the threat. No IDF injuries were reported.
