💥 IDF STRIKES IRANIAN STRATEGIC DEFENSE SYSTEMS: The IDF, guided by IDF intelligence, completed a broad strike against strategic defense systems belonging to the Iranian regime. One strike targeted an advanced SA-65 aerial defense system in the Kermanshah area of western Iran.

The IDF said it has significantly damaged Iran’s defense system throughout the war, and particularly during “Operation Rising Lion.” The stated purpose is to expand Israeli Air Force freedom of operation over Iranian airspace, degrade IRGC capabilities, and thwart threats toward Israel’s home front.

🎯 FOOTAGE SHOWS STRIKES ON FORCES ARMING MISSILE LAUNCHERS: The IDF published additional footage showing Iranian regime forces struck while arming launchers to fire missiles toward the State of Israel. The IDF also published an illustration of the aerial defense system located in the Kermanshah area.

🪖 CHIEF OF STAFF AND IAF COMMANDERS DIRECTED THE STRIKES: The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, commanded the IAF strikes in Iran together with IAF Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar and additional commanders. Ahead of the strike, Zamir told the commander and pilots: “At dawn on Saturday, ‘Operation Roaring Lion’ commenced. You are authorized to execute. Strike your targets - you are making history. I have full confidence in you. Good luck to us all.”

Zamir also said: “I am sure that you will execute this well. There is a lot of experience in this room - strong capabilities that have proven themselves in the past. We are embarking on an operation that is taking place at a completely different scale - more complex and more complicated. I know that the preparation was short but intensive and incredibly thorough”.

Zamir said the IDF, in coordination with the United States military, began striking strategic targets in Iran and is operating at a high level of operational readiness, defensively and offensively. He described a significant, decisive, and unprecedented operation intended to dismantle Iranian regime capabilities that he said constitute an ongoing existential threat to Israel’s security.

He said that last June, Operation “Rising Lion” disrupted and set back Iran’s nuclear project, struck its ballistic missile array, and undermined the plan devised by the Iranian regime and its regional partners to destroy Israel. He said Operation “Rising Lion” also established historic cooperation with the United States military in Operation MIDNIGHT HAMMER, during which American aircraft struck Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Zamir said the Iranian regime has continued advancing its nuclear project, restoring and accelerating ballistic missile production, and funding and arming terrorist proxies. He said the IDF conducted a deep joint operational planning process in coordination with U.S. counterparts, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Commander of CENTCOM, and is prepared and on high alert for a wide range of scenarios.

He said Israeli Air Force pilots are striking hundreds of targets across Iran at significant personal risk and in coordination with U.S. strikes, while air defense systems and the Navy are deployed to defend Israel’s skies and shores against missile barrages and aerial and maritime threats. He said ground forces are positioned along the borders to thwart and repel infiltration attempts, and that Home Front Command forces, together with Israel Police and emergency and rescue services, are prepared to protect and save lives.

Zamir warned there is no hermetic defense and urged the public to follow Home Front Command instructions, stating: “Any enemy that threatens Israel’s security will pay a heavy price. Trust us and rely on the strength of the IDF to act with determination across all sectors”.
