šŖ IDF CHIEF OF STAFF VISITS AIR DEFENSE TROOPS AMID OPERATIONS IN IRAN AND LEBANON: IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir visited the 947th Battalion of the Air Defense Array on Tuesday alongside the Commander of Air Defense, BG K., and additional commanders as part of Operation āRoaring Lion.ā
Zamir said the IDF is operating simultaneously in Iran and against Hezbollah in Lebanon, describing both as components of the Iranian-led Shiite axis. He said Israeli fighter jets are striking in Tehran and targeting launchers, while UAVs and aircraft are engaging systems that air defense troops are tasked with intercepting to reduce threats to civilians.
Addressing Hezbollahās decision to join the fighting, Zamir said the organization made a serious mistake and that the IDF was prepared. He said Israel is striking Hezbollah with significant force and will continue operations until the group is disarmed.
Zamir emphasized that the resilience of Israelās civilian home front is a central component of the operation. He told air defense troops that public confidence in their work is part of that resilience and expressed full trust in their ability and in the IDFās capacity to complete the mission.
šÆ IDF ELIMINATES IRANIAN QUDS FORCE LEBANON CORPS COMMANDER IN TEHRAN: Earlier today, the Israeli Air Force, guided by precise intelligence from the IDF Intelligence Directorate, struck and eliminated Daoud Ali Zadeh in Tehran.
Ali Zadeh was the acting commander of the Iranian Quds Forceās Lebanon Corps and was described by the IDF as the highest-ranking Iranian commander responsible for Lebanon, holding a rank equivalent to brigadier general.
According to the IDF, he served as deputy to Hassan Mahdavi, the Lebanon Corps commander who was previously eliminated in an IDF strike, and assumed the Lebanon Corps portfolio after Mohammad Reza Zahedi was eliminated in an Israeli strike in Damascus in April 2024.
The IDF said the Lebanon Corps serves as the central liaison between Hezbollah and the Iranian regime, supporting Hezbollahās force buildup and connecting senior Quds Force leadership with Hezbollahās command.
Ali Zadeh previously commanded the Quds Forceās Strategic Weapons Corps, overseeing proxy buildup in strategic weapons. The IDF described him as a key authority guiding Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed branches on firepower capabilities.
The IDF said he took on the Lebanon Corps role after Operation āNorthern Arrows,ā was involved in Hezbollahās rehabilitation, and drew operational conclusions aimed at improving future terror activity against Israel. In recent period, the IDF said he continued to push Hezbollah to advance attacks against the State of Israel.
Israel stated it will not allow Iranian terror elements that undermine Lebanonās recovery and strengthen Hezbollah to entrench themselves in Lebanon. The IDF said it will continue operating against Hezbollahās attempts to rehabilitate and rearm and will act with force to remove threats to Israeli civilians.
