🪖 CHIEF OF STAFF FIELD ASSESSMENT IN RAFAH: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a field tour and situational assessment in Rafah alongside Southern Command and brigade commanders following recent operational activity. He instructed forces to continue removing threats, with emphasis on dismantling underground terror infrastructure.
Zamir stated that during the war all Hamas front-line battalions were dismantled, Hamas was militarily defeated, and all hostages have returned home. The IDF is deployed along the Yellow Line security perimeter, overseeing Gaza crossings and conducting precise operations against remaining terror infrastructure.
He said the IDF remains prepared to shift from defensive to offensive operations if required. Any violation will be met with action aimed at degrading terrorist capabilities.
Recent operations eliminated numerous terrorists, including senior operatives. Zamir reiterated that the war’s objectives remain full demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the disarmament of Hamas.
He also stressed continued reinforcement of defenses for western Negev communities.
“No Immunity for Terrorism”
Zamir stated that there is no immunity for terrorism, adding that the same policy applies across additional arenas beyond Gaza.
Over the past week, the IDF established the 38th Division to enhance operational competence and strengthen ground capabilities. Zamir noted that the war has underscored the decisive role of divisions in a prolonged, multi-front conflict.
🎯 TERRORIST ELIMINATED AFTER CROSSING YELLOW LINE: Earlier today, IDF troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip identified a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and approached the troops, posing an imminent threat to their safety. In order to remove the threat, the troops eliminated the terrorist.
❌ WEAPON SMUGGLING DRONES INTERCEPTED ALONG WESTERN BORDER: Yesterday, IDF observation and the Aerial Control Center identified a drone that crossed into Israeli territory from the west, in an attempt to smuggle weapons. IDF troops located and intercepted the drone, which was found carrying three M-16 rifles.
During searches in the area, troops also located a previously intercepted drone that was carrying ten handguns and thirty magazines. The weapons were transferred to the security forces
for further processing.
