๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ IDF CHIEF MARKS 1,000 DAYS OF WAR; A RESERVE SOLDIER IS SEVERELY WOUNDED IN LEBANON

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ IDF CHIEF OF STAFF MARKS 1,000 DAYS OF COMBAT: The IDF held a multi-arena intelligence, operational, and strategic situational assessment marking 1,000 days of combat. The forum was attended by Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir, members of the General Staff Forum, division commanders, and additional commanders.

The event opened with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen, followed by the recorded radio transmission of Col. Asaf Hamami, of blessed memory, from the opening moments of the October 7 massacre. A panel discussion featuring frontline commanders reflected on lessons learned during the war.

LTG Zamir said, "Today we are holding a multi-arena operational, intelligence, and strategic assessment, marking 1,000 days of combat. These days, we find ourselves at a significant and strategic crossroads in this war."

He added, "Memory is not only about the past - it sharpens our awareness every day of the responsibility placed upon us and prepares us for the future."

Describing the conflict as "one of the longest, most complex, and most demanding wars we have ever known," Zamir said combat leadership, command decisions, and the courage of soldiers leading from the front under fire enabled the IDF to prevail across all fronts. He noted the war has produced operational and command experience unlike any accumulated by the IDF since its establishment.

Referring to October 7, he stated, "The October 7th massacre was an assault on the very existence of the Jewish people."

Zamir said the war has fundamentally changed methods of warfare, operational concepts, and the way the military operates, requiring the IDF to continue learning, adapting, and embedding lessons as part of the regional race to learn and adapt.

He concluded, "We remember, we learn, and we prepare for the continuation of the combat and the many challenges that lie ahead."

He also said, "The eyes of Israelโ€™s civilians are upon us with criticism, with appreciation, and with great love. We are committed to continuing to deepen our achievements while also serving as a beacon of truth, humility, professionalism, and responsibility."
