🛡️ IDF APPREHENDS KARMEI
🪖 Initial Identification Near Karmei Zur: Yesterday, two suspects were identified approaching the community of Karmei Zur. A security guard alerted security forces and the local rapid response team, who began searches in the area to rule out a potential infiltration into the community.
During the searches, soldiers located and apprehended one of the suspects outside the community.
Following a week-long pursuit and intelligence indications gathered with guidance from Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), IDF soldiers operated in the Bayt Ula area this past Thursday and apprehended the second suspect who attempted to infiltrate the community.
Both suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
🪖 COUNTERTERROR OPERATIONS ACROSS JUDEA AND SAMARIA: Israeli security forces conducted dozens of defensive counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria this week under Central Command.
Jordan Valley Regional Brigade: A brigade-level operation in the Jericho area resulted in approximately 70 locations searched and three terrorists apprehended.
Judea Regional Brigade: In joint activity with the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District, forces confiscated two weapons-manufacturing machines, an M16 rifle, weapon parts, ammunition, and approximately 3 million shekels in terror funds.
Samaria Regional Brigade: More than 30 terrorists were apprehended. Forces seized explosive device components, M16 rifles, and military equipment concealed inside shops in the Balata area of Nablus.
Menashe Regional Brigade: Wanted suspects affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad were apprehended. Confiscated items included Kalashnikov rifles, military equipment, and tens of thousands of shekels in terror funds. Paraphernalia bearing ISIS emblems was also discovered.
Binyamin Regional Brigade: In coordination with the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District, several Hamas operatives were apprehended, including suspects involved in Molotov cocktail attacks toward Beit El. Weapons were also confiscated.
Ephraim & Etzion Regional Brigades: In Ephraim, M4 rifles and thousands of shekels in terror funds were seized. In Etzion, several wanted suspects were apprehended and weapon parts were confiscated.
All apprehended suspects and seized weapons were transferred to Israel’s internal security service (Shin Bet) and the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District for further handling.
