🪖 MOUNT DOV OPERATION
IDF soldiers operated overnight in the Mount Dov area and apprehended a cell commander from the “Lebanese Resistance Brigades,” a Hezbollah-affiliated terrorist organization. The arrest followed prolonged intelligence surveillance, and the suspect was transferred to Israel for further interrogation.
The group’s operatives have been involved in attacks against IDF troops. Forces remain deployed in the area to prevent threats to civilians, particularly in northern Israel.
🚀 HEZBOLLAH LOSSES AND ROCKET FIRE: The Israeli military says it has eliminated at least 700 Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon since hostilities escalated during the war with Iran, including hundreds from the Radwan Force. Lebanon’s health ministry reports over 1,000 people killed in Israeli strikes since the war began.
A barrage of approximately 10 rockets was fired from Lebanon toward the Haifa Bay area a short while ago. Some rockets were intercepted, while others struck open areas, and no injuries were reported.
🛡️ NORTHERN FORTIFICATION EXPANSION: The Ministry of Defense and Home Front Command are expanding protective infrastructure across northern Israel, with 1,865 portable shelters currently deployed in border communities. Since the start of Operation “Roaring Lion,” around 120 additional shelters have been installed, with dozens more being deployed daily based on operational needs.
A fast-track procurement process has been launched for hundreds of additional shelters, with a tender issued for nationwide deployment prioritizing northern areas. The program, valued at 81 million NIS, builds on continuous fortification efforts over the past two years.
In parallel, a broader protection initiative is underway to upgrade public shelters and fortify approximately 370 public buildings, including schools and clinics. Around 550 new protected spaces are also being constructed to improve civilian readiness and response capacity.
🇮🇱 DEFENSE INDUSTRY AND PROCUREMENT: Defense Ministry Director-General Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram held a situational assessment with the heads of Israel’s major defense industries, including Rafael, Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems, and Tomer, marking one month since Operation “Roaring Lion” began.
Participants reviewed accelerated production efforts supporting IDF operations, with industries operating at peak capacity and running multiple daily shifts. Baram emphasized that Israel’s defense ecosystem enables weapons to move from production to operational use within hours.
Since the beginning of the year, more than ₪10 billion has been invested in domestic procurement, as Israel prioritizes munitions independence and future capability development.
