❌ IDF APPREHENDS EIGHT WANTED SUSPECTS IN MUKHMAS: IDF soldiers, guided by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), operated yesterday in the area of Mukhmas and apprehended eight wanted individuals suspected of chasing and assaulting Israeli civilians who entered the area the previous day.
The suspects were transferred to Israeli security forces for further processing. The IDF said troops continue operating throughout Judea and Samaria to thwart terrorism and apprehend terrorists.
⚔️ RESERVIST SEVERELY WOUNDED IN CLOSE-QUARTERS ENCOUNTER IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: An IDF reservist from the 679th "Yiftah" Armored Brigade was severely wounded yesterday during a close-quarters encounter with a Hezbollah gunman in the Bint Jbeil area of southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF's initial probe, the incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. while brigade forces were operating in the area. A Hezbollah gunman opened fire on the troops, seriously wounding one reservist.
The wounded soldier was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family has been notified.
Immediately afterward, troops fired tank shells at the building from which the gunman had opened fire, while the Israeli Air Force struck additional targets in the area. As of this morning, IDF troops continued searching the area for the Hezbollah gunman.
🛡️ IDF HONORS U.S. AIR DEFENSE CONTINGENT: During yesterday's General Staff situational assessment, Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir presented an IDF Certificate of Appreciation to the commander of the "Bravo" Battery, CPT Nathan John Pernot, along with additional commanders from the battery.
The certificate recognized the commander, his soldiers, and the entire U.S. air defense contingent deployed in Israel throughout the war for their service and significant contribution.
The IDF said that in recent years, the U.S. military and the IDF have demonstrated a level of partnership, professionalism, and innovation unmatched in modern warfare, making a unique contribution to the defense of the State of Israel and its civilians.
