💥 AIR-GROUND COORDINATION IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Since the beginning of the targeted operation against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, the Israeli Air Force has struck more than 2,000 targets in support of ground forces in southern Lebanon. The strikes were carried out using fighter jets, combat helicopters, and remotely piloted aircraft.
Israeli Air Force control centers and personnel remain in direct communication with ground forces, accompanying operations across multiple areas, directing troops in the field, and eliminating threats, at times in close proximity to the troops. Released footage includes radio communications between pilots and ground forces during support strikes in southern Lebanon.
🪖 COMMANDERS REVIEW CONTINUED OPERATIONS: As part of efforts to strengthen joint multi-domain cooperation, Israeli Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar conducted a situational assessment at Northern Command alongside Commanding Officer Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo. The commanders discussed operational plans moving forward, and Air Force officers received an updated overview of ground activity and operational requirements for the continuation of the operation.
🚀 HEZBOLLAH ROCKET FIRE NEAR UNIFIL POSTS: The IDF says it has identified approximately 165 rocket launches by the Hezbollah terrorist organization that landed inside or adjacent to UNIFIL posts in southern Lebanon since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion. According to the IDF, Hezbollah has used its close proximity to UNIFIL positions to advance attacks against the State of Israel.
The IDF says Hezbollah is systematically violating international law while endangering international forces and harming UN personnel operating in the area. During the targeted operational activity in southern Lebanon, the IDF says it is continuing to maintain coordination with UNIFIL forces in the area.
On Friday, a Hezbollah rocket struck a UNIFIL base in Odaisseh, wounding three members of the observer force, including two seriously. The military also released a graphic showing some of the launches that landed inside or adjacent to UNIFIL posts.
