💥 Wide-scale strike hits Iranian security command compound in eastern Tehran: The IDF said the Israeli Air Force, guided by precise intelligence, completed a wide-scale strike targeting a large Iranian terror regime military compound in eastern Tehran that contained multiple command centers and Internal Security personnel.
According to the IDF, the compound contained headquarters of all Iranian security organizations, and activity by Iranian operatives was identified inside the compound.
Command centers struck in the compound included the IRGC headquarters, the Intelligence Directorate headquarters, the Basij headquarters, the Quds Force headquarters, the Internal Security forces headquarters, Cyber Warfare headquarters, and the headquarters of the unit in Internal Security responsible for suppressing protests.
The IDF said operatives in the targeted command centers were responsible for managing operations, promoting additional terrorist attacks against Israel and the region, and repressing the people of Iran.

🇮🇱 Katz credits intelligence for enabling earlier launch of Operation Roaring Lion: During a visit to the IDF Intelligence Directorate with Military Intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, Defense Minister Israel Katz praised intelligence personnel for their role in the ongoing campaign against Iran.
Katz said Israel’s advantage over Iran is rooted in the combination of deep intelligence coverage and operational capability to act quickly on that intelligence.
He said Operation Roaring Lion was originally planned for mid-2026 but was advanced to February due to evolving circumstances, including developments inside Iran, the position of President Trump, and the opportunity to coordinate a combined operation.
Katz said the timeline was accelerated due to significant advances in Israeli intelligence capabilities, and said intelligence capacity was rebuilt and expanded “tenfold” following the previous Rising Lion operation.
Binder said the Intelligence Directorate is working continuously to provide early warnings, operational intelligence, and decision-support for the campaign against Iran, with thousands of personnel supporting the effort around the clock.
Binder said intelligence operations are progressing according to plan and supporting mission requirements.
Katz told intelligence personnel their work contributed directly to the opening strikes and said the results are expected to significantly strengthen Israel’s security and reduce long-standing threats.
