💥 IAF COMMANDER DECLARES STRONG START AFTER ‘GENESIS’ OPENING STRIKES IN IRAN: The Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, told control center commanders and aircrews that “Genesis” was the opening aerial operation of Operation “Roaring Lion” and “the most significant aerial operation to date — enabling me to say at this moment: we’re off to a strong start.”
He spoke earlier Saturday following the largest aerial operation in the history of the Israeli Air Force. Footage shows IAF aircraft en route to strikes in Iran, alongside audio of his communications with control centers and pilots.
🚑 IRANIAN BALLISTIC MISSILE ATTACKS INJURE 89, MOSTLY WHILE SEEKING SHELTER: Magen David Adom says 89 people were lightly injured in Iran’s ballistic missile attacks, the vast majority indirectly.
A 16-year-old was hurt by shrapnel in Kfar Qasim, a man in his 50s was injured by a blast shockwave in Ka’abiyye-Tabbash-Hajajrem, and a 53-year-old was wounded after falling from a height following a missile fragment impact in Tirat Carmel.
Another 86 people were injured after falling while running to shelters, and six were treated for acute anxiety.
⚠️ IDF: IRAN MAY HAVE USED CLUSTER-WARHEAD BALLISTIC MISSILES; CIVILIAN GUIDELINES UNCHANGED: The IDF says Iran may have launched ballistic missiles carrying cluster bomb warheads, similar to those fired at Israel in June 2025.
Such warheads open while descending and disperse around 20 sub-munitions of roughly 2.5 kilograms of explosives across a radius of around 8 kilometers. The IDF reiterates there is no change to the Home Front Command’s guidelines for civilians in the event of cluster bomb attacks.
