🎯 IDF ELIMINATES HEZBOLLAH NASSER UNIT COMMANDER: Israel’s Minister of Defense Israel Katz said the IDF eliminated Abu Hussein Ra'ab, commander of Hezbollah’s Nasser Unit, in an overnight airstrike.
The Nasser Unit is one of Hezbollah’s main regional military formations in southern Lebanon. It is responsible for the area between Mount Dov and Bint Jbeil and forms part of Hezbollah’s frontline forces along the Israeli border.
During an assessment at the IDF Northern Command, Katz was informed that more than one million Lebanese civilians have adhered to Israeli evacuation warnings.
According to the defense minister’s office, about 650,000 residents evacuated Beirut’s southern suburbs, a known Hezbollah stronghold, and another 500,000 left southern Lebanon.
The IDF issued evacuation warnings in recent days for all of southern Lebanon and for four major neighborhoods in Beirut’s southern suburbs ahead of strikes on Hezbollah.
Katz said: "Not only will we not withdraw in the face of Hezbollah, but we will take advantage of the opportunity to strike it and exact a price from it. We have an opportunity to bring very, very great security."
